Anyone with 550s, Z32, and S-AFC?

A few issues have come up and I have to step back my "upgrades" a little bit. I was wondering what kind of drivability people have with just an S-AFC tuning for Z32 and 550s. Also, what kind of power.

my planned setup:
GT2871R .64 A/R
555s
Z32
S-AFC II
FPR

all the other support piping mods. etc.

That should be the biggest set of injectors you can run with a s-afc. If you run any bigger, then your better of going ECU re-tune. Im running 740cc on the same turbo with an Enthalpy Rom Tune.

I have all those minus the fpr and i made 300whp and 280 wtq at only 18psi. Im going back for more tuning and cranking the boost some more since im not even in the efficiency range of the turbo yet. drivability is awesome with this set-up. the power comes on soo smooth and holds to redline.

i was planning on running a very similar setup, and i was told to get a tune from scott and use the SAFC for fine tunning. Its basically plug and play, and his tunes are very reliable.

That would definatly be ideal, but I'm headed back to school soon and money has run out for the cams, IM, and ECU I had planned to use along with some 740s so in the name of having drinking money while I'm back in school I decided to tone things down.

S13Rymos- thanks, that's ecactly what I needed to know.

I am assuming a stock t25 turbo since it says planned setup which I think means you dont have the gt2871r on yet.You should not worry about power because your timing will be kind of screwed up. As you probably know, as you scale back fuel through the afc, it also adds timing. I know I had 600cc injectors with just an afc for about 2 wks before I got a chipped ecu and it was hell. With 550's it will be driveable but it will be better once you get a true tune, but it will be driveable.

If you have the gt2871r turbo on there, it will be a little better, but a tune will really dial in your settings for optimum horsepower.

Are you kidding? The whole original setup was designed around the turbo Already at the coaters getting the compressor housing colored, and the turbine side ceramic coated. Spending all that money on just the turbo was half of what made me realize I wouldn't be able to get all that stuff together this season. But, that is an excellent point. I'll definatly play around with a little retarded timing to counteract that.

no you dont need it it its tuned right... but his ecu got messed up, so right now its only tuned on the safc. My setup has a tune ecu with the safc for fine tuning stuff

Well dont put the injectors in until you get the turbo. This way thats one less problem, so if something does go wrong you know that it will be the z32 maf or the safc or regulator. Plus this way your timing wont get screwed. Good luck.

How would you guys go about tuning this? I have all the stuff put together now and sitting in my garage. If I just bolt it all on and reset the ECU would it stand a 3k or less drive to the tuners? If you didn't have a flatbed how would you go about getting it all on and tuned? Don't forget my boost controller I'd hate to show up to the tuners with no idea where my boost is

I'm running:

GT2871R
HKS Top-Feed fuel rail
RC 750cc injectors
HKS FPR
Z32
Apexi AVCR
Apexi SAFC
RS Enthalpy ROM Tune (Scott is an amazing man)

**I would suggest getting a base tune from Enthalpy. It's about $500 but the best bet is pay it, otherwise you can go standalone and that costs a lot more loot. Goodluck!

it's do able..i know. dont go above 550's since the safc can only take away so much fuel though....
