![]() Hey guys, ive got a S14 SR20 in my S14 and im in the market for an exhaust manifold, dp, and turbo outlet. Ive been looking at various manifolds from Megan Racing, GT Spec, Helix, and others.. They all look the same to the best of my knowledge, but i would like to buy a quality piece...and not have to spend $700+ on JIC, or HKS. So.. once again.. are these manifolds in fact the same sh*it just rebranded, or will there be a difference in them? Oh yea.. I also saw the DC sports turbo exhaust manifold, and it sez its for the S13.. but will it work on my S14 SR with stock T28 too?

Check out the Megan 2nd generation manifold. Folks have good experience with them, and they don't seem to crack as much as the 1st gen.
S13 and S14 SR manifolds will bolt up to the block and mount to your T25/8 with no problem. There may be some minor plumbing differences with respect to the EGR routing with the S13 vs. S14 OEM manifold, but it should be interchangeable for aftermarket manifolds. IMHO, if your OEM manifold is still in good shape and doesn't have any cracking/warping, go ahead and keep it. Cast iron is a little more reliable than stainless steel. I would only replace it if your OEM manifold is busted and you can't find another OEM one. |
