Ok, I give up!!!

So i have had my 93 coupe for about five months, I love it, BUT it idles like POOO!!!
I cant figure it out, it runs GREAT above about 2k, but idles rough, and dies on start up when its already warm, its like its getting too much fuel, and floods out, Im baffled, I have a new filter on a cold air, new 300zx fuel filter, Im stumped, the only codes im throwing is knock sensor, which Im guessing is from the rough idle. Ive cleaned the throttle body, visualy inspected vacuum lines, I just cant figure it out, please help me!!!!

What kind of intake? Do you have everything hooked up correctly? I know when I got my car they had the pair system hooked up post MAF, which is wrong, and the fittings where all leaking air.

Can you post a pic of your setup?

What engine are you using?

My CA18DET was idle'ing bad when I bought the car, and it got only worse, after trying out different AFM's etc. I still didn't have any solution
A Guy from dutch SX Owners Club told me to spray some Brakecleaner on the inlet manifold gaskets (With the engine running, doh ) and if there was an immediate effect on the RPM of the engine I could be sure it was the gaskets.

So I fixed those, and now it runs like sunshine

Maybe you should give it a try on your car?

My suggestions...

Bad/sticking idle air control valve (I have the same problem right now). My car idles very rough, sounds like it misses, stumbles and even dies once in a while. Especially when coasting to a stoplight Other than at idle/decel though the engine runs like a champ! No CEL but I haven't checked codes recently.

Since you're getting code 34 bad KS, might want to test your Knock Sensor harness wiring to make sure you're not getting a short going from the ECU to the KS. I had that problem too a little while, which caused a big performance hit until higher RPMs and/or warm engine. Search my posts for keyword 'bog' to learn how to test your wiring and replace the KS with a dummy resistor for testing....

GL!

KADE motor, just FYI. Basiclay stock.

Awesome, thanks ALOT guys, great suggestions, how ever, that will have to be put on hold.....

I have come to the conclusion that curbs are a bad invention, just ask my broken Tension rod, Tension rod mount that is torn in half, twisted control arm, bent sway bar linkage, and i havent even gotten out the jack to inspect further, the 240 was doing AWESOME in the snow, but going around a corner at like 10mph, I hit a chunk of black ice and the front tires instantly had NO traction, I pumped the brakes turned the wheel back and forth, nothing, smashed into the curb at just the right angle to break everything, then got out and almost ate shit slipping on the ice, fuck me, I hate ice.

Ok, quick Q, IF the TPS was out of agjustment, would it not confuse my ECU and give it too much fuel at idle? Just a guess. I'm not realy sure, also, can i Adjust the TPS by hand with a little trial and error?
