piston to wall clearence

what is a good clearnce for race application?
im running the single cam ka w 12:1 comp ratio w a .40 over bore but the machine shop f*cked up and bored it .001 over. so my cold clearence is .0015 piston to wall clearence which is way too much. but when i boiled the pistons they expanded a good .006, putting me at .009, one thousands off what nissan suggests is the limit. but for race application loose isnt always a bad thing. will this .009 clearence be too much? also nissan doesnt specify if this is a cold clearnence or hot so would that still put me way over?
