well ill do a little update for you guys. the guy that was supposed to do the blasting said "I tried soda, then sand on the bottom they didn't do much with this stuff at all. I then tried to use some solvents but they would not help much either. I guess we are not quite set up for removing this stuff. I have stripped many, many cars inside and out without any problems. I could do it but at this rate it would take like 8 hours. I already have over 4 hours into it. If anyone has any suggestions please share...
This stuff has been nothing but a headache." it spent 2 months at the blasters when the guy said it should take a week or so then he tells newman he cant do it. so newman said this. "i worked 72 hours last week. I probably wont work on the car much until it gets cold out. I don't intend to spend my summer working on a car when i have 3 other cars, a bike and a jetski. Though i intend to have the bodywork done by september first. The cage took 4 weeks instead of the one week i was promised. The blasting took almost 2 months, instead of the one week estimate. By then it was the middle of summer. I'm busy at work, and my free time i d have, i don't want to spend in the shop. But i have hardly lost interest, i think about the car like every day. all theese were quoted from a local forum. but newman bought a s13 coupe with a sr20 lol. |

Ya, whatever happened to this thread? There's only so many reasons to get up and come to work each day and checking this thread while drinking my coffee was one of them!

OK, Still enjoying the summer, not working on the car again until fall, nothing new to report except that these FINALLY showed up. The color is a wonderful gold. My camera phone makes it look gross.
Work VS-xx 17X10 +22 17X8.5 +16 Also i bought an sr20 swapped s13 coupe. It's being painted the same color as my STi as we speak. But i think i am going to sell it or trade for an SUV. ![]()

The wheels are 4X100 w/ a 57.1MM centerbore, unfortunately. No S13 love.
I don't have much more to add for the time being, however, i do have these pics of my 06 sti, Now with a new rear bumper, 04 taillights, and the 04 style hoodscoop. The bumper fits so well. I'm shocked. If it wasn't fiberglass (ZERO/SPORTS FRP 950 bucks! Yikes), i'd think it was a stock piece. The hood scoop also fits very well. I'm up in the air about the mesh in the scoop. It's easy to remove, but i definitely need black mesh in the rear openings. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
