You sure thats their car? I sometimes let people selling cars park them at my shop, however not in the front with our race and sponsored vehicles, and I would never advertise a peice like that.

that's very true...just because the shop looks janky doesnt mean they work on jalopy's all day. I recently went to a shop in Kingsport, TN that looks like a regular garage/repair shop but you wouldnt believe what they had inside. Some of you might know this shop. Blown S2000, 2JZ Kouki, blown 350Z, KA-T hardbody, 600hp+ SR20, twin turbo KA and the guy is an insane installer, fabricator, builder, and tuner...pure genius. Back to topic, that car is honestly worth half of the asking price if the swap was done correctly.

I don't see the big deal. 99% of 'import' shops in GA are exactly like this place, run by a group of kids who have a little money, no absolutely nothing about running a business, and do hackjobs with Taiwan made tools and parts sourced through China that will probably burn to the ground within a week. They let anyone in to walk around and sit in customer's cars, steal change, play with their new gauges, and lean on the new paint with their huge belt buckle. It's no surprise to me this place exists or makes money doing it, because as long as the "enthusiasts" can only afford the very cheapest parts to just get by because their parents won't raise their allowance, that's all the businesses have to work with and they'll do fine with it.
A true shop with a showroom, full selection of tools, qualified technicians, and a policy preventing a bunch of hoodlums to loiter around in their parking lot rarely exists because no one can afford them. One of the nicer places in GA (one of the only ones actually) had to expand their customer base, hire more techs trained in dosmestic cars, and take on lesser jobs like oil changes and brakes because they weren't making a dime catering to higher class clients.
The typical 240SX owner has less than $3000 total to fill out their wishlist of parts, and that includes buying the car. A nice shop would turn away a kid hoping to get an SR installed and running for the $300 his mom loaned him to get it done. A place like the one in this thread would gladly take the $300 because they're only going to do $300 worth of work anyway, if not even less. And if they can build a shitass car for $2000 and sell it to some fool for $8500, more power to them. They're found a niche market that's just big enough to float them until the shop is robbed by those same kids coming in all the time or shutdown due to poor paperwork and zoning problems.
