Welcome to the site, and that's a sweet ass teg you had there. For your info....could have been found through a search, but I'll let it slide. The sr20det is not street legal at all. It was never dot, carb, or any other American regulations tested...there fore it will never be street legal unless nissan decides to throw it in a future car for production in the U.S. or if you want to put up the $100k or so to get it tested, we would all greatly appreciate it.

So how do people get past the emissions test at the inspection station???

yes, technically, since all Silvias are RHD, but you can make a LHD Silvia conversion (SR into an S14 or SR+front end into an S13 coupe) and call it "silvia" for short

i'm thinking when i do my silvia conversion i'm just going to shorten more and call it "Silly"

and BTW, the pic dousan posted of the red S13 coupe with bronze TE37s is the pic i was looking for in that thread a while back! (looks like S14 K's wing too)

i think that the US needs more old School two tones. Or nice D1-style Silvias. I see too many flat black ones, or black, black, or black ones. OK............I talked to someone today who sells Nissan Engines...........I inquired about...if it's possible to have a SR20DET pass emissions..........he says that it'll pass as long as it has a cat.....and if it still doesn't to do a double cat system...... I live in jersey...so I don't have to pass a visual( visuals must really suck ) or a smog test........just emissions.......has anyone heard that this will work?..........................and one other thing I wanted to clear up...I did a search and didn't find anything, but do I need to modify the rad. support or the hood latch for the silvia
front-end (S13)???

I spent 6 months trying to find a good condition 91+ coupe. I looked at tons of used car lots, autotrader, newspaper, and other sites, and I never found one that I wanted. I just finally settled on the fastback I got. Even now that I got my fastback, I still look to see if I can find a good coupe. They are so rare where I live.

Tell me about it....I've been looking ALL over for one even willing to drive out to get one!!!! I got one in IL, but they want $3000........I've got another one in NC, but I still have to call them........

haha damn, you are willing to go far for a car, I take it the coupe you saw was red with 5 spoke rims. Its been on sale for quite some time. If you dare find a two-tone coupe in chicago and steal it from me I'll get really **** j/k

. A nice two- tone would be sweet though.

Anyways, nice Integra, very clean, any more pics? Sorry to hear about it being stolen, where are you getting all this money to move one.

I am glad to see a newb who took off his training wheels before posting.

I have to agree with dousan in saying sil80s look wierd, the fron doesn't match with the back, 180sx are smooth sleek and rounded (those are the best words I could describe it with), coupes are a bit boxy, and fit well with silvia headlights, especially considering they were designed with silvia headlights in mind, and the 180s weren't (even with these speculations of factory sil80s).

Anyways just keep looking through chat and tech and you'll find loads of info, also check out freshalloy, use thier search, it will help a lot. Also for more cosmetic stuff, look for fresh alloys post a pic thread, something like 32 pages of pics, and we have a couple on this board also.

Anyways have fun with your journey in zilvia land, ask what you can't find out for yourself, and post pics, everyone loves pics

BTW come out to the convention in August if you have the time and money to spare.

There was a recent post in the Tech Talk section, someone's stock SR with a normal off the shelf "performance" replacement cat blew numbers lower than my KA on a sniffer.

As a matter of fact here it is
