I will try to work on refining my technique down and really trying to crank these things out as I am contemplating doing an online comic but I don't know if I will have time.

Ahhhhh now i get the pen tool, thanks that helped a lot. But I made another layer by going to Layer->Duplicate layer

How do i see my lines without the actual picture like in the last pic on the 1st page?

How long does it take you to do this kind of thing?

you take away the original pic by hiding it.
to make new layers go Layer-New Layer or Ctrl-Shift-N
i hope you're drawing lines on a separate layer from the origial pic
