They are NOT 2871r's for the love of God! IIRC the only journal bearing t2 flanged t28 comes off a Pulsar. The turbo he was sold is a standard bb s14 / non spec R t28. If it was marketed as a Spec R dual bb turbo, then there can be a dispute. It is pretty evident that wasn't the case though.

All this crap over 10-15hp! I guess he needs to hear everything twice...

S14 vs. S15 T28 turbos!!!!!!!
S15's only came in TWO trims. Spec-S and Spec-R. So for you to say "non Spec-R" tells me you mean Spec-S. And if you knew anything about anything Spec-S models are NON-TURBO which means no T28 at all.

The difference in turbos is based on transmission and transmission only.

14411-69F00 is plain/ball bearing (S14 Kouki turbo)
14411-75F00 is plain/ball bearing (S15 Spec-R AT only)
14411-91F00 is ball bearing (S15 Spec-R MT only)

edit:

The part number below the main part number above will indicate whether or not its plain or ball bearing.

466541 = ball bearing
466543 = plain bearing

So if you have a turbo with part number 14411-69F00 and below it says 466541-, then its an S14 Kouki T28 ball bearing turbo.
But if you have a turbo that says 14411-75F00 and below it says 466543-, then you have an S15 Spec-R AT T28 plain bearing turbo.

S14 turbos no divider between wastgate and turbine. bb/journal

S15 turbo divider between wastgate and turbine. dual bb.

Only differences between the two which dont make a huge diff

who cares, honestly. it was said on page one, youre talking about a whopping 10-15hp at most. i made over 300whp on my last SR with an S14 turbo at 16psi. the turbo worked like a damn champ, held 20psi to 6000rpms (tapered back to 16psi past 6000) and was worth every penny of the $300 i bought it for.

ANYTHING is better than the OEM T25 on a redtop/blacktop. GT28 on an S15 isnt anything super special either. its basically a low end T28, theyre not bad turbos, but if youre gonna spend the money, buy a GT30R and just do it right the first time lol

GT28 from a specR is a great OEM upgrade though. is it worth starting a pissing match between S14 and S15 turbos, NO. they both make about the same power and spool up around the same RPM range, outside of that, AGAIN, who cares.

^ exactly who gives a shit? The answer has been given 5000 times.

Recap: auto s15 and s14 turbos are the same.
6 speed Spec r is different. So the guy who said an s15 only comes with the spec r turbo obviously can't read as I already knew this and said it in the other thread.

The point is the difference in market cost, along with minor bearing differences. If I paid for a Spec-R DBB turbo, I don't want an S14 Kouki Turbo. It's that simple.

its just like any part, if someone wants to spend the money, they need to do research before doing so. however, IT DOESNT REALLY MATTER! BOTH TURBOS ARE ALMOST IDENTICAL AND MAKE THE SAME POWER! oi

How about NO, we talked on the phone and you sounded like you want to help me convincing me to buy an AEM cpu and spend all this money for a lousy 80hp gain. When i texted you back you were acting like a dick again after i thought you were the bigger man. Plus that's not my problem what you and doug/z-fever have going on, if anything you should apologize to me for acting childish and not being honest!

You have the S14 Kouki / S15 AT spec-R T28 ball bearing turbo. If you were told you would be getting the S15 MT spec-R turbo, than you could dispute it. But if you were told just an S15 turbo and you agreed on an S15 turbo, then the S15 turbo is what you have.

End of discussion.

Maybe out of those 15 years of building Nissans you should have taken a 4 year break to get some education. Also, 15 years of working around Nissans and you just now sign up to Zilvia.net? (One of the most popular Nissan websites on the internet.)

Not only that but you're strictly posting in this thread because I think you know deep down you made a mistake when selling this turbo due to a lack of knowledge and now you're trying to overcompensate by posting multiple times back to back.

Sucks to suck. Haha.

Where are you trying to get at? I did i say the turbo was blown or screwed up? That i know of which i'll find out when i put it in the car. Point blank is Mr. 15years of building nissans you should have been more cleared about what you are selling instead of talking out of you're ass like usual.

Not only that but you're strictly posting in this thread because I think you know deep down you made a mistake when selling this turbo due to a lack of knowledge and now you're trying to overcompensate by posting multiple times back to back.

Sucks to suck. Haha.

You sound like a whiny little bitch. I wouldn't sell anything to you either.

Like he said, he didn't sell the turbo to you, what the guy did with the turbo after he sold it to him is non of his concern.

BTW - in case you haven't gotten the point - that little divider in the turbo is worth maybe 0.2 HP. I made 300 rwhp in a GT2560R without the divider at only 15.5 psi.
