yo you said it im 16 but my car is a long project it not like im gana swap and turbo it tomorrow it gana take me a wihle 450hp is my goal and yeah suspension breaking is also on my list so dont be surprised when you get smoked by this 16yr old

Come on what do you plan on doing with 450+ hp? Slow down and think reasonable like 250. That's enough to plant you in your seat and to beat most cars out there. Now put down the mag and get in touch with reality.

450 in a 240 is more than you can handle
Back in HS I had a 94 trans am it was about 3500-3800 lbs and was about 260-275 at the wheels (auto) That car was a lot for me to handle when i first started driving and it took me a year or so going to auto x to really keep constant control of the car. I sold it and bought a 99 WS-6 trans am which has more hp in roughly the same curb weight. It was esentially the same car so adapting to it was not very difficult. Currently my daily driver is an 04 SL55 AMG while the same curb weight it puts down 493hp and over 500ft/lbs of torque and it is beyond starteling when you hit the loud pedal if you punch it below 50 the tires break loose. now take a car that weighs signifigantly less and throw 450 in it you will kill yourself at your age with a car like that I know because i have seen it happen over and over again. Learn your car, it takes time to do but it is worth it in the long run. After you spend a year or so working on the car and getting the feel for how it handles then you should look into performance, even at that though look at suspension and brakes first. Don't ebay your parts remember you dont want to cut corners on things that protect your ass.

Who cares? just beacuse you are 16? you will realize how stupid you are once you are 23 and have gotten your license suspended (if you are still alive by then).
you don't need that much power to have fun. you are not showing to others how much hp you have, I assume you bought the car because you liked her. Ron

Obviously, if you drift auto x, you'd realize you DON'T NEED 450 HP!!!! Good luck winning first with that much HP in a fairly lightweight chassis buddy. Really, if you want 450hp, get something else, like a Geo Storm and do a powerplant swap. Drag is cool and all, but if you even have thoughts of drifting/auto x, as you say, you will realize that 200rwhp is good enuff.
And i'd like to see how a 16yearold handles 450hp. "Hey guys, wanna see how fast i can go in my car?" SKEET SKEET SKEET SKEET, VROOM!!!! CRASH!!!!! "oh, brakefade." then your smirk asian friend would say "pwned" OH, and if you still want 450hp, in terms of power/cost ratio, domestics are better. IROC Camaro, El Caminos, Firebird, Chargers, all that good stuff. I'm guessing but with about 6k, you could probably built up a 450rwhp domestic, as compared to a 450hp SR/KA. grammar bitch learn grammar!!!! you already dug a hole as an idiot who won't listen to those who have more experience then you. first things first, if you want to learn about engines, go to tech and read the fucking FAQ you TOOL. Afterwards spend the next month searching this site to learn more about what could happen to your car and how to fix it. Next search online once you have decided on your route of building your car, of what products to go with. No tein basics, nor super streets are good coilovers for your car.

I love people like him. I can see it now.....One day ill be walking through a junkyard and stumble upon a 450hp 240(or in his case a SILVIA) Filled with Import Tuner mags, Boba cups and Initial D soundtracks. I dont really like flaming, but i also dont like newbies calling themself tuners and wanting to be faster than everyone on the street but dont even know how an oil filter works. OH yeah, make sure you change your headlight fluid before you do any of those late night touge runs with your 450 hp car. The last thing u want is crappy head light fluid.
