You sir have superior taste in beverage. Any quality single malt scotch 12 years minimum is the good life. I take mine "neat" ( a splash of filtered water )
Really there are very few properly masculine beverages.
Scotch
Whisky
Gin
Vodka
Tequila
Cognac
All those other candy liquors are for girls.

Alright everyone knows that real drifters love the sauce so here are my recommends to you Simoun:

Shots:

Scooby snax
Time Killer
Irish Carbomb

Drinks:

Kettle One Vodka
Patron Tequila (silver is my fave but Reserva is the best)
Capt. Morgan Spiced Rum
Belvedere Vodka
Any Sake (hot prefered, goes down smoother)
Louis XIII Cognac - $1300 per bottle $100 bux per shot, but well worth the cost.
Shine - as stated above. It burns on the way down and then it burns in your stomach and then it burns coming out and that includes coming out of your mouth.

Beer:

Kirin
Asahi
Miller High Life
Corona
There is a Sam Adams "select" thats like a 20 proof beer it might be on their website.

Absinthe - the real one can kill you or make you retarded thats why its illegal here in the states.

Jaeger IS AN AQUIRED TASTE DO NOT EXPECT TO LIKE IT AT FIRST

Thanks for all the responses guys.

I've tried Liquid Cocaine. That's one of the shots we'll be making.

Rainier, hook it up! Mail me some Absinthe, haha.

Sergio, I'll try some of the ones you suggested.

True true.

..oh, that made me think of one thing that is good and isn't too snooty. Navan Vanilla Cognac. It seems a little gimmicky (and I guess it is) but it's really good in a sophisticated way. Warm your glass in some hot water, pour, swirl, enjoy. It's nice. Women like it too. Knowing what I know now, I'd grab some for my 21st b-day party for no other reason than to increase my chances of talking to a real-live-girl. Getting shit-faced on grampys 'shine won't help with that. ...I know cuz that's what I did.

Wow. This whole thread is based on fanboys (those propping Grey Goose) and people wanting to sound rich (guy recommending Louis XIII). This is Zilvia, nobody is rich. Check the FS forums for proof.

First, Grey Goose is only popular because they're marketed the name. In every blind taste test I've read about, and those I've conducted (explained later), between 60-90% of respondants said Grey Goose was their least or 2nd least liked vodka.

Second, mixing Grey Goose (ok.. bad example, personally I'd only drink that shit mixed).. but mixing Skyy and other $21+ dollar fifth of vodka is a complete waste. Absolute is my most expensive mix. Stoli is my favorite mix, and to make Party Punch, it's always Popov or any other sub $10 half-gallon of liqour. Mixing any Premium liqour is a waste of liqour and money. Keep mixes at Call and Well only, please.

Third, a $36 bottle of standard Gledfiddich 12 year old scotch whiskey and a $95 bottle of Gledfiddich Ancient Reserve 21 year old scotch whiskey will have nearly the same taste to a non-connoisseur - and the diffence in taste would never be worth the $60 premium. So.. for everyone who I suspect is 17-19 and throwing out names of $100 shots and exotic liqours to be impressive... stop. I don't buy it.

Now.. I will say that Captian Morgan Private Stock is a completely different formula than original CM, and a much, much finer liqour. It's about $10 more for the labeled stuff.. but worth it. Ultimat vodka - $50 for a fifth of it, it's great vodka, but again.. you must be serious about your vodka to pay that much.

20/20 did a blind taste test, and Grey Goose failed. So, when I worked as a bartender, I made similar tests, using 2 or 3 vodkas. I did then when I'd overpour a customer or spill a bit - the free taste tests brought all the bottles to about even. Everyone who ordered Grey Goose had no clue where it was made, what it was made from, or anything other than "it was imported and the best vodka." They also didn't know what Kettle One or Van Gogh vodkas were. Those who ordered Grey Goose I'd generally lump into one of two categories. 1) Don't know anything about vodka and are going by [poor] recommendation of a friend, or 2) Are self-important jackasses needing to be trendy. When I'd pour off a Grey Goose first, and a Kettle One second.. some asked if they'd gotten a glass of water second. When I'd pour a Van Gogh then a Goose, I had one tell me they wouldn't clean their wounds with the Grey Goose. It's really a poor vodka choice.

Ok wait, so you're saying goose is actually worse than other premium vodkas? Cuz once you get past the skyy/absolute range, I can't really tell a difference. I don't do vodka martinis. I'm not a connoisseur so, I'm not arguing....I'm just askin'.

Although I will admit to acting impressed by vodka recently. This girl I know made a tini with some supa-dupa-hi-end botique vodka and wanted to know what I thought. I was like: "oh yeah...that's really nice"... but I was really thinking: "uhhh ok, maybe if you had made it with gin".

I'm a Smirnoff fan. Might not be the best in some big-ass taste test, but I like it.
I also enjoy Captain Morgan Spiced Rum and Parrot Bay Coconut Rum.

Here's kinda the answer. Grey Goose is a premium vodka due to price and marketing only. I don't know true vodka drinkers that touch the stuff, and personally, would put it as a well drink. So yes, I think the average person drinking it straight would realize it's a crummy vodka. In fact, I think that 20/20 taste test had Popov (to me, a horrid vodka only useful due to price and quantity). And I believe that Popov was rated higher than Grey Goose. I'd kinda like to find the clip online, but no luck yet.

You're way off here. 151 is actually 151 proof (isn't that silly!), and everclear (pure grain alcohol) in california is 180 proof which makes it 90% alc. Some states sell 190 proof everclear, but unless you're bloody retarded or want to be, there's no real good reason to drink that stuff. I've had real absinthe smuggled in from europe, it's like drinking pure fire. One shot is usually enough for me, then it's time to move on. I agree with the other older fellas here though, "the hardest hitting stuff" is not your best bet. But if you must, have fun at the hospital getting your stomach pumped because you did 2 (yeah TWO) shots of everclear in 10 minutes..

Spirits hands down scotch like GlenLivich sp?/ or Cutty Sark . WHiskey wise Chivas Regal is pretty tastie alil spicey. Jameson Irish Whiskey is smooth and nice straight as well.

Beers. These Beers own any American Piss Water IMO.
Dark- Corsendunk Brown Abby Ale 8%
Dark/Winey - Gulden Drak 11.3%
White - CHimay Cing Cenquet(White Label) sp? / Or La coufee' (look for a Gnome on the bottle)are excellent light beers. both around 7-9% if i remeber correctly .
Tremens Delirium Nocturnam (Pink elephant) 8.5% Dark and Heavy as Corsendunk.

Seasonal Right now- Mad Elf by Troges its a Chocolate/Cherry Beer thats 11% and dosent not taste like it.

All those Beers are Mad good, and I swear you wont be let down.

Screw the rest just drink mexican tequilla not none of that name brand shit I mean the real deal the stuff you get in the Tijuana, Those bottles of Tequila are so pure they sell you the bottles sometimes with the agave plant inside of the bottle. WARNING: To all the dumb fucks that doubt the power those Tequilas have is a very big mistake. A friend of mine over did it when he was pounding shots and he allmost died.
