![]() That's actually not a good idea at all. Keep beer glasses clean, and at room temperature.

I completely agree. I hate it when people freeze their glasses, even worse when they put their beer in the freezer and take it out just before it freezes. Glasses are the best thing for good beers. I like to be able to see my beer, the color, the foam, the residue left on the sides of the glass... I actually have a pretty large collection of beer glasses (pints, 22's, mugs, tasters...)

Beers I've had that are much better "cool" or closer to room temperature:
Dogfish Head Fort Dogfish Head 120 IPA Dogfish Head Pangaea Arrogant Bastard Ale La Fin Du Monde (although even better nice and cold from a tap) Stone IPA I always either drink out of my Hoegaarden glass or my brandy snifter. By the way, not too sure if there's any Florida natives in this thread (no I haven't bothered to look) but has anyone been to Cock N' Bull in Sarasota, Florida? I hear it's one of the top 5 beer bars in the country. I'll surely be hitting that up one of these days when I've got about 100$ to spend on beer. I'm dying to try the Westverlen (spelling?) quad. |

I really need to start checking this thread more often and posting up what I drink, as I'm always looking for something new to try.
I'm my fridge right now I have Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre and Theobroma along with this Samuel Smith Tadcaster which I have yet to try. ![]() Edit: Just picked up a 4-pack of Old Rasputin (which I love) and 2 bottles of Ayinger, one is the Weizenbock and the other is the Oktober Fest-Marzen. Their Doppelbock is one of my favorite beers so I thought I'd give these a try.

Pumpkin Beer Review so far
Dogfish Punking - B - Pumpkin Puree isn't my favorite, but its' drinkable. Riverhorse Pumpkin - B- -Weaksauce. Watery, taste like pumpkin roots. Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin - A - My freakin favorite. Good spices, nice pumpkin taste, and 8% ABV. Do it up!

![]() It's a little over the top in total flavor, but I like that in a pumpkin beer. Slightly boozy, but it doesn't come off as 'too hot'...you can crank a few of them down without realizing it (which is good or bad)

I live in the state dogfish head is from, and i went into a fairly good sized liquor store yesterday and they didnt have dogfish pumpkin!!! WTF? so i got a sixer of blue moon pumpkin. apparently Yuengling has a oktober fest/pumpkin ale out this year.
Blue Moon Pumpkin - C- not really pumpkin'y more just a normal blue moon with a light hint of spices Sam Adams Pumpkin - B+ More like the dogfish head, but i think it only comes in the variety pack

tried 2 new beers today and both SUCKED
![]() Belhaven Scottish Ale - F (at best) terrible, tastes like coors light. I normally LOVE scottish beers (brewdog, skull splitter) but this is just terrible. ![]() Ommegang - D Supposed to be a belgian abbey ale but I couldn't tell since it really didn't taste like anything. It had a decent head and some okay lacing and smelled dark and fruity but the flavor just was not there. |

The biggest 'nice' FU I could ever give right now to you two fuckers above
![]() Some good stuff from the past week on tap: Flying Dog - Raging Bitch A This is damn tasty. Nice hop taste, but nothing overwhelming. Little hot on the booze, but so darn good. Left Hand - Fade To Black Vol 3 B+ Not a bad tasting Stout, but I wanna try Vol 1 and 2 as well with this. Still very drinkable for the ABV Lancaster Shoofly Pie Porter (Nitro) B Not a bad beer, I think the Nitro really helped it out thought. Would be interested to try it on co2 first. Bottle wise: 2011 Troegs Mad Elf A '11 is light years better than '10, and has the Elf back on form. Boozy, cherries, and goodness. Kinda odd to see it out so soon, but I couldn't resist it! 2008 Troegs Mad Elf A A little 'calmer than this years, but still good. The fresh cherry taste has faded to a more sedated taste, and overall it's very good. to be honest you can'kinda' tell it's the same beer, but only if you were told. Aging has changed the beer...for the better? Well yes...but '11 is so damn good it's hard to overcome it. Ithica - Cold Front B Nice little Weizenbock. Nothing to write home about, but would drink again. Sessionable! And the best beer this week (which we had at the release, but my first bottle since then) Weyerbacher - Rapture A kinda+ ![]() Sour Goodness from Weyerbacher! While I still like Riserva more, this is a darn good close 2nd...no fruity taste, just pure funky sour goodness! Quick on the tounge, yet the tastebuds will explode regardless with this. Little pricey, but so darmn good. Perfect End to a great week.
