OMG you people are dumb!

The analogy was obviously a joke. My point was dont assume something is ugly just because its rare and you havent seen it. The reason you dont see them installed on this thread is because people post pics of parts that they dont own. Therefore said parts cannot be installed.

SO since this is the interwebz we have to use smart ass remarks to prove our point. or resort to outright name calling.

hey guys, not sure if any of you can help but ive got a quick question regarding the 180sx cool box option.

ive got a 180sx and recently bought a cool box from singapore. it turned up the other day and i fitted it up.

the thing thats confusing me is i cant see how its going to work. on the rear of the glove box there are two tubes sitting just proud to obviously channel some of the a/c air into the cool box but i dont have anything on my car (or heater channeling) for these two tubes to mate up to.

is there something missing? or a way to hook the cool box up? its a bit pointless me having the cool box if it doesnt work.

cheers

Did it come with these tubes? My did but the tube is awkward if you don't have the coolbox air duck under the dash. I went to the hardware store and got some plastic tubing in the correct diameter and some placed pipe connects and drilled hold in my under dash air duck. Join the hose to the box and enjoy cold drinks!

i didnt get those tubes/parts shown in your picture, just got the coolbox with the glovebox.

so with the two pipes on the back of the airbox, one goes to the dash air duct and the other vents to atmosphere?

do you have any pictures of where the hose should go into the air duct? and which duct?

thanks again Z

I just got these for a guy in NYC. He waited almost a year for me to find him a set. Lucky for you, I'm always looking for them so I'll let you know.

PS: FindJDM had/has a set for $260 :0

lol...that's stock. i have that for my SE model.

anyway, here's my contribution to this thread...not really 'rare', but rare enough that not that many people can afford it.

legit Vertex Ridge Widebody for S14 Zenki still in JDM wrapping.

It's not about the bag, it's about that it's real vertex, not some janky copy.
REAL vertex isn't terribly common stateside.

Missed out on some tweeters for 70 bucks, i still cry about it every night. jk

Would an S13 carbing front strut bar with the bmc stopper be considered rare or just uncommon? Ive noticed not too many people have them, including the tomei 3 pt strut bar as well.

I have the same strut bar for my s14. Dont think its rare if you can order it brand new. But I do love it.

It is in san diego, then again its home of the ONLY U.S. supplier. Every other shop in the nation goes through this shop (Vertex USA/Speed Alliance) for it.
