I respectfully disagree with you there. After finishing the game, I think San Andreas (and Vice City) were a lot, lot better.

I think what made the GTA 3 series so much fun to begin with, was the expansive nature of the whole experience, not the graphics. They just took out way too much stuff. I even missed some of the smaller details, like blowing ppls head off (and leaving an outrageous blood geyser).

The story is good, I would say but the main character is too much of a good guy, falls short in personality (just talks about making $ and revenge as his motive) and isn't much fun other than occasionally making fun of ppl. In contrast, Tommy Vercetti (Ray Liotta did the voice acting iirc) and CJ were awesome a-holes. they really fit in with the delinquent nature of the whole GTA genre a lot better imo.

The graphics are better, but it better well be with improved hardware of the new 360 console. but even then, imo GTA has always been more about gameplay, personality, and having lots of crap to do. All the elements that made its predecessors so much fun Also the missions were getting a bit too repetitive after a while, and had no story/humor element whatsoever. Kill this guy (and gang), chase this car/bike, etc. The only memorable missions were bank robbery (reminded me of the urban warfare scene in Heat), and some of the Bernie Missions.

What I did like was driving dynamics, the sense of humor, the radio stations (sans the lackluster liberty rock station imo), etc. Some of the characters like Roman & Bernie were also memorable, but then again the other GTA series also had a fun cast

GTA 4 is a good game in itself, but its a huge disappointment imo, considering what Rockstar had accomplished in the past. I don't think GTA 4 is anywhere near the classic in the same way GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas were.

HOW THE FUCK are you supposed to catch the chopper Little Jacob is flying at the end to catch up with Dmitri? I fucking can't, and it's pissing me off!

you just have to carry enough exit speed before the ramp. Keep the bike close to the river. Just think of as regular racing. Think of the ramp as the 'straightaway'. It works for me most of the time of the time. I actually had more trouble dodging the bazooka rockets with the helicopter afterwards.

But yeah that mission is a little frustrating. Think i failed like a dozen times before i finally passed it.

I exit the building, and he's already getting into the chopper. It goes to a cut-scene, where I hang on to the chopper Dmitri is in, then fall into the ocean. It tells me to get into the boat, to which I chase him, and then LJ swoops down. I try to catch up to him in the boat, and I never get there in time.

I'm confused. And angry.

If it helps, it's called a Revenger's Tragedy. Something like that.

anybody else freezing on 360?
my shit started freezing in game, but now it starts to load the game and gives me a disc read error. and rockstar has yet to acknowledge the issue on 360, even though they already patched the ps3 version because of this. what the fuck. i've been playing a lot of COD4 lately.

my bad, i thought this was mission where you take out Pegorino, which coincidently also involved jumping up to a chopper driven by Jacob. gamfaqs.com may have some advice though.

wow no one has said it better. this is a great game but there is alot missing. One i do like is that u can back up on your motorcycle and not fall off. At the same time what happend to the normal bikes??? i think if the makers of the game read all of the player reviews and see what they messed up gta5. They need to keep everything in 4 and add things from 3, vc, and sa that will make a awesome gta5. and maybe in LA or something

LA would be awesome!!! I wonder what would they call it... since they dont really use real city names huh.. maybe Angle City or something lol

San Andreas.

They're sticking with the names used in the original GTA.

It'll be interesting to see how the new Midnight Club portrays LA.

yeah mine has done that a few times.

what really sucks is when it loads and old save point and you have to go back and reload your newest saved game.

try clearing the cache.

i have done that and it seems to be fine.
