I wasn't expecting that to be the reason! I always picture you as one of those weeaboo kids. You know, like the ones that you would spot in your local high school anime club? I figured I'd shoot you a friend request just to see how accurate my assumption was.

I definitely overlooked it too but was bored today and decided to give it a shot. I mean if you can appreciate jazz then all the more enjoyable it will be, but so far the story is great imo

Music (jazz) is a theme but it's more than that.
It's a well done coming of age drama set in the 60s.

I didn't care all that much for the first season.
I liked the fact that it was a parody on a lot of mainstream anime themes but it was too directionless for me.

This season is so much better.
I can't recall a better first episode to a show.

Avatar: Legend of Korra. I've been watching it on cartoon network. I have to say that it might be G rated but it's kind of interesting. The fight scenes are pretty cool and the story is alright. Not bad to watch if you knew anything about the original Avatar series.

Well, its free but you have to wait a week after each episode is released, unless of course you want to pay.

Just finished getting caught up on Fairy Tale and Blue Exorcist. I'm so late to the party...

But heads up guys: the new Rurouni Kenshin manga just started. Jump in now, because it's gonna be HUGE.

Fair Tale is like a new-fangled Dragonball, on a lower scale. Great anime, I love it.
Just checked out panty, stocking and garterbelt. Its pretty entertaining. Ill re write that statement after I watch it during my normal operating hours.
Korra, is GREAT. Deff not disappointed in the direction they took the Avatar series. Its still one of my all time favorites. Too bad they took out Shuriken school to air it when it first came out (the last air bender).

Last anime I watched was Highschool of the Dead... It was basically a cheesy B horror movie split up into an anime series... So I liked it. But if you don't like cheesy B movies, you probably wouldn't like it.

I also finished Deathnote not too long ago... AMAZING! Except the ending... The ending pissed me off IRL.

I tried to watch wangan midnight. I've seen a few episodes, but I usually watch anime when laying down before bed, so not the best time to be watching something with subtitles. I liked what I've seen though, so I will definitely continue watching it when I can sit down and give my full attention to it.

I know what you mean about Deathnote. Fuck that ending. I was totally rooting for Raito.

I loved High School of the Dead. There were rumors that there was supposed to be a season 2, but I think the manga got cancelled, so I doubt it.

Wangan Midnight... Oi... that show. Not even remotely as likeable as Initial D. Some of it will probably make you angry with the sheer stupidity of it. The story arc with the Blue Evo and the final arc are decent though.

Agree, Space Brothers is a really good show.
Apollon was also good but I feel like it could have gone another season and expanded on the story.
Hyouka is another show that I'm liking a lot lately.
Also watching Naruto, Kuroko's Basketball and a few others not really worth mentioning.
I put Fairy Tail on hold since the newest story arc hasn't been holding my interest.

Sadly the manga is slow to come out and the show quickly has to do HORRIBLE HORRIBLE filler while waiting for the creator to further the storyline.

Claymore and Berserk... sigh.
Speaking of Berserk, saw the first of the three new films "Golden Age Arc I". Pretty damn good after I got over the annoyance of the CGI.

Is there another season, I only watched the first season w/o reading the manga and I found it all to be enjoyable and relatable 23 episodes last I remember. Not sure how that show would continue.

One that had tons of promise and just got unbearable to watch was deadman wonderland.

I'm currently watching Golgo 13 on netflix, the english subs are pretty horrible at times but I do like the story, pretty well thought out for a sniper based series.
