It's not that big of a deal, it was just the hose for drainback into the block anyway and was going to be covered by fire sleeving. I didn't want to waste the money on starlite hose for something that's going to probably get oil and shit all over it and possibly catch on fire lol. I think the starlite hose is fireproof, not sure. |

Hit up John Shin @ City Tire today to get some Falken 615k's up front the 235/45/17's look like 245's I forgot how thick the sidewalls are on azenis tires. But it's what I wanted anyway a thicker tire up front.
Like John said, anything is better than Nexen and after driving on them for 2 years I can agree. The car since I've owned it has never been aligned, so for the first time the car isn't steering against itself with retarded toe in and eating tire. ![]() All in all the price was fair and when the feddy's out back are ready to meet their maker I'll replace them as well with some of these 615k's ![]() lulz, I didn't grab a print out of the final alignment but it feels dimensions better than before. I also think I left a block of wood @ city tire, doh! |

I also picked up a new corner light from west co nissan today. Now I just need to buy new headlights before they fall off of my car, all of the mounting points on my headlights are broken to shit. I almost want to say the previous owner pulled these things off of a car that was wrecked. |

Just keep both hands on the wheel when it rains
....I mean, it's a street car afterall, and I know you'll be in the rain ![]() Seriously though, Azenis's are awful in the rain, both old and new versions. Good dry grip, last decent, and brake well...they'll grease towards the end of a long day, but anything this side of an R comp or 200 dollar tire will do that.

Hey man, i was looking back on some of the stuff you did a while back and the roof swap caught my interest. I have no problem buying a brand new roof panel from Nissan, but how the hell did you know where to cut the old panel at the pillars? i have seen another thread about this being done (i think it was on NICO) and it wasnt very descriptive either. i fucking HATE sunroofs and id love to get this done before i go in for paint. Thanks!

![]() I would also recommend having an air chisel on deck to help separate the skin from the car, trying to pry it off can warp some of the metal and you will have to re-shape it to get the new panel to line up. I don't want to beat a dead horse explaining the process. It's not fun. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() the skin is just sandwiched on the edges by the rear quarter windows, and under the front and rear windshield. drill out all of those spotwelds and you can either take a torch and burn the copper off to remove the old skin or you can cut it like I did. After some flexing here and there you can slightly see where I fixed the hood on the driver side of the car, otherwise you cannot tell I put a new skin on it. If you're replacing the sunroof you will need to buy the crossbeam support which runs across the middle of the hood. ![]() ![]() just like the oil pan or water pump you put silicone in the groves and just put the hood on top of the car, should hold it in place, then c clamp all of the edges and spot weld the new skin in. I don't know how easy it is to get these anymore. Last I remember there were only 2 left in the united states when I purchased mine. The first one was damaged in shipping, the other one is on my car. |

who did you buy the roof panel from? i contacted FactoryNissanParts.com and they said they wont ship it because it would get damaged. Don't know why they would throw it up for sale on their site if they arent willing to ship it.

I picked mine up from west covina nissan. You're in vegas so I doubt any of the dealerships out there want to deal with it. The panel is REALLY thin it is braced by all of those spotwelds so it's a very tweakable piece of metal and the box they ship it in really isn't UPS friendly.
