Updates? I know I know where are the updates...there aren't any. I've been spending a lot of time detail sanding the part to ensure the prototype has no high/low spots anywhere. It's all in the detail. I don't think anyone care about pics of me sanding..haha. Stay tuned.

Alright. More sanding, more adjustments, and more pictures. So for those who wonder about how I make my parts as perfect as possible, I spend countless hours staring at the part from various angles using various light sources and a flat tool. You can see where I've added more length to the part and gouged the part to remove high spots and filled in low spots. I still need to work on the bottom of the lip and detail the angles as they are still sharp, but that will come later. Additional pics are on my website, enjoy!

I would be way more ahead than where I am right now if I didn't have to take on and take off the bumper and exhaust all the time to work on the project. The day to day job is keeping extremely pre-occupied. I'm hoping to finish this by the end of the month and make a FRP version to mount on my car. Keep the fingers crossed.

My car is getting painted in July and I already plan to go with your Front Lip and Grille. It would be great if this was complete and ready for sale by June. I would buy it for sure!
Keep up the good work and keep us posted. |

The lip has been sitting on an extra bumper in my garage and I need to find spare time to get back on track. The amount of design requests have slowed down where I can concentrate back on this part again after work. ![]() I've been working on various projects. Here's my DIY $50.00 fender roller that I made for my new wheels. Sorry, no pics of the wheels. I'll post some pics later of the parts I'm making for my daily driver. I guess this will turn into a project thread after all. ![]() ![]()

This. When i ran mine (it got ripped off and lost during the huge snowstorm last month) i was always so paranoid about damaging it. Running a fiberglass lip less than 4 fingers off the ground makes you real nervous.

The ONLY thing straying me away from the lip is the fact that it is fiberglass. I know its much easier to work with, but what about urethane? So many more people would look into the urethane parts simply for its street durabability.

Not a big update, but the part has moved from the garage back onto my design table to fix all the imperfections.

For those who have been contacting me why I have no parts in stock is because I'm building new molds of all the parts to support a new format that is not fiberglass. It's top secret as to what the parts will be produced with. Stay tuned.
In the meantime another teaser project. I know, I need to finish the lip first. There's just too much going on all at the same time! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Urethane all depends on the flexibility and rigidity of the formula you use. The part would be more durable, but much more expensive to produce due to the higher cost of materials. Sometimes, when you ask you shall receive. Stay tuned.

I think that you are being a very responsible and sensible designer/ business owner.
Because you are taking into consideration your customers wants and needs out of your products, and you are changing and developing new stuff and improved versions of products that are liked by many. Hats off to you, looking forward to your progress. |
