There is no such thing since it'll be dependent on camber, tire sizing and how much you bow in/out the rear fenders. Best bet is to look around and see for yourself, what people are running and copy their setup. Wheel Whore thread and Rimtuck would be your friend.

If your car isn't already on height adjustable coilovers, you won't see any kind of "fitment" whatsoever. 2 inches is a mild drop and it makes me assume that you're still using a spring/strut which in the front, will get in the way of achieving "fitment". XXR's fit like shit and you usually have to get some spacers to get them to look acceptable. 522's are the retarded demon offspring of the TE37's. If you're going to go with knock offs of TE's, I would suggest Varrstoen or Rota Grids but if you can go with real Works, that would be best. You will need camber to make you car look good. And lowering it more than 2 inches will give you camber that stock specs could not. As a matter of fact, at stock height, there's some negative camber. Not a lot but it's not at exactly 0. Please use the search function that this forum offers or use google. Rimtuck is also a nice place to start. Magic spec numbers are floating around ALL OVER this forum for S13's. But since I'm feeling nice today, 17x8-17x9.5 fits under stock fenders with fender modifications--any wider and you're looking at a world full of hammering and rubbing. +35 for a 9" fits but it will look sunk thus why spacers were invented. I don't advocate spacers but they help when used correctly. Learn about optimal offsets and deal with spacers when you are more adept to wheel fitment. It's really not that difficult once you have the knowledge under your belt. It'll be easier for you to figure it out yourself. Good luck. |

So +35 won't work up front..? I'm getting adjustable coils in January or so. I was thinking about Rota grids if I can afford them. Do you suggest buying everything at once so I know exactly what is fitting to what? At least camber and wheels. I guess I'll look into rota's. But I'm still lost on finding 4x114.3 in 17's. Do they not make those?

Normally a "square" fitment is having the same width of tread and rim. from Falken tires website a 225/50r16 FK452 has a tread width of 8.1" and a overall width of 9.1". It would be square on a 8" rim. it would be streched on a 9" rim. Hell the approved rim size by Falken is only 6-8".

Hi guys - was wondering if you can help with what tire size will be best for me ?
Setup is : S13 Coilovers with fully adjustable arms Front and rear arches slightly wider than normal but with metal work not overfenders Wheels are 17" 5x114.3 (R33 hubs) 9J ET25 for the front 9.5 ET20 for the rear Its going to be a street / track / drift car but im not really into the stretched tire or strong negative camber setups as im more interested in grip and sensible wear. Also not going for mega lows ! Was thinking a 235 or 245 on the front and a 255 or 265 on the rear. Anyone able to shed some light or advice as the fitments threads seem to be more stretch and camber based ? |

I'd go with a 225 Front and you might be able to run a 255 but I'd suggest a 245 just my opinion |

anywhere from the +15/+25 Range will be good and safe for you for the front. I think a +25/+35 would be ok for the rear. if you roll and possibly pull your fenders you won't need to run much camber but if you run a +25 Rear you will need to pull. Just research man like stated earlier it is really quite simple. And btw I'm running xxr 527s 4lug 17inch they do make rims in that bolt pattern/size range you just got to.hunt for it I'm going 5lug soon just for 1. It's better for drift/track and 2. Way more rim selection. |

Hi guys wanted to use my resources before making a new thread
I have a new car. This guy has decent fitment and is able to run it without a roll or pull. He runs a 18x9.5 + 38 with a 225/40/18 I would like to run a similar set up for the sake of my fenders and no rubs But I want 17s and to run the stock tires on my rims. I don't understand what with does to offset so if you could help me out. I'm looking to run a 17x9 + 28 or +38 with a 225/45/17 tire (Oem tires) Would that make it more or less aggressive? |

Would probably need some to clear the front. I dont clear 10j +22 upfront, I have to run atleast 5mm to clear my coilovers.

You probably would need to kick it down some. Make sure when you put the coilovers on, pull the knuckle away from the suspension before you tighten the perch bolts up. Maximize the space between the wheel and the coilover so itll minimize the need for some spacers. |

What he said, I run 9s in the front though (17x9 +24?) with an 5/16 spacer so effective offset is somewhere around +15. I have some 25 mil bolt ons though that I'm about to run bringing offset to -1 and I shouldn't have any issues with rubbing the stock metal with that setup.

And your saying to buy +28 offset on the 17x9 then? And that will be near the same of his 18x9.5 +38? If anything I'd want to run a less agresive before more. I mean its a brand new car and I don't want to touch my fenders |

If its for a corolla, the fuck are you asking us for?
But as far as 9j +28 vs 9.5j +38, use this: Wheel Offset Calculator |

That's not a problem with your wheels or camber its a problem with your tie rod & flca combo. S14 tie rods are longer, so you need to run s14 flca with them. At least that's what I'm doing in my car and I have 0 toe

Shit, see if you can stretch 225/40-18 on that, itll be a pain in the ass. But you need the least amount of tires, a decent amount of pull and some camber.
