Updates:

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of udpates recently. The last month has been ridiculously hectic and confusing. My incessant pressuring of japan-side has just made D Max Japan upset, and they pretty much said "Do it yourself then!!" So, we were forced to redo the whole process all over again. The biggest problem was that we could not find a quality floor mat supplier that could do everything we wanted in-house. But the good news is we were able to find a supplier that was able to meet the majority of our demands, such as colors, floor mats, and "D Max" logo plate. We are still waiting for a sample of the mats to verify thickness/quality.

So cliff notes -
-Colors are confirmed for blue/black checker, red/black checker, grey/black checker, and black/black checker
-Heel pad will be dense fabric (a rubber/plastic heel pad seemed like it might crack after a couple years)
-Outside trim color will be black for all mats
-D Max logo will be an embroidered sewn-on patch. We attempted to use a metal plaque with the D Max logo printed on it, but it seemed like it would get scratched/faded easily

As for the D Max patch, we just received the samples in the mail yesterday.

We have decided to go with a darker blue logo, since it will not show dirt so easily. We have also asked them to round the corners so that when it is stitched into the mat it will not unravel easily.

Colors samples:

I know black/black checker isnt shown; I'm still waiting for a clear picture of that one.

From what they tell me, the mats are supposed to be thicker than those color samples. We are still waiting on the actual samples.

UPDATES!!!!

The samples are finally finished!!! However, they are still in Japan so once I get them in my hands, I can give a final assessment over the small details. I should hopefully get the first samples in a couple weeks or so. We ordered a black/black checker, but I guess their definition of that is dark grey/black checker. Let me know if you guys are ok with the light gray/black checker and dark gray/black checker. If everyone is cool with those variations, then I will not even bother making a true black/black checker.
