The power steering lines are just single cam lines, bolts right up.

Thanks for the compliments! I ended up buying a new quick release from 9Kracing here on zilvia. It's the new Spline design setup, a huge upgrade from the universal ball bearing type. It's a very solid design and the nice part is how many ricers have the ball bearing type, and how many have this new spline type? A little better for security I think. So far I like it, looks good, feels solid, better then what was there lol.
*oh btw yes that's Hello Kitty duct tape haha ![]() ![]() ![]() Also got yet another PGP event tomorrow! Got it all loaded up, ![]() Also remembered that I never did so the fire extinguisher setup, it's a 7lbs. bottle if I remember right and it's mounted using a bracket from a school bus lol but it is bolted down. It's required for PGP on track. ![]()

Sorry for the delay, finally re cooperating after the double header. Here's a batch of pics I found, pretty good pics but am kinda waiting to see some of the good ones, had a great time tandeming with the white soarer and purple hatch and chasing the red z but of course haven't seen pics yet. I've gotta get a go pro and get more on board too, our other cam broke ugh. Hopefully I can save up enough money to buy tires for the next round on may 1st at Evergreen Speedway.
Here's a few from PGP, waiting to see the Instruction day where us Instructors got to tear it up haha. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just through the 1st corner, ![]() and if you look in the background, through the 2nd corner haha ![]() ![]() ![]() And here's the aftermath on the wallet, left was instructor runs at Evergreen got 5 laps on these, Right is PGP, were brand new tires and got about 25~30min of run out of these, guess that's what happens when you link everything lol ![]()

Haha yeah I wish I could of flipped them and kept running! I'm having a blast this year driving already and it's just getting started. Hopefully I can pick up a sponsor or job to pay for more tires! I joke with my friends that "There's three things drifter's know for sure in life, death, taxes and the tire bill." haha.
Found a really awesome awesome vid from Jared Cosgro, I think it shows how much action and fun there is all day at PGP, it's unreal! XDC is coming in August so can't wait to see the Cali boys tear it up too. Welcome Summer Tour | PGP on Vimeo ^there's the link, embedded doesn't seem to work new or old lol. Couple more pics for the day, ![]() ![]()

Thanks for the compliment! Yeah I'm too broke to drive to Portland with tires and money haha. One of these days maybe. I'll be doing Evergreen Drift this Sunday though =D
Got a set of Fresh Feddy's mounted up and ready to go, This Sunday may 1st is the first points day for our local drift series so wish me luck haha. I figured I'd mount 4 just in case, if anything I'll just keep them for the next go, if I can afford it then too lol. It's already a tight year but I setup to make as many events as possible so I'll give her hell! Here's some rubber doomed to be on my car. I also re sprayed two and finally sprayed the other two silver today ![]() I also found some nice pics from the PGP 4/16/11 event, from daily-driven.net apparently (I just saw the flickr link lol) daily driven it is! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Great news from Today, like Charlie Sheen I was busy winning!
Won the first round of Evergreen Drift grassroots Championship! Had a great day and car ran perfect. No issues with the engine and I ran it hard haha. I did some realign on the rear to dial it in in the morning and never looked back. Qualified 2nd and finished 1st! I'll be sure to update with better pics and vidz as they flow in, had some crazy door tandems with guys =D (I'm the one in the middle lol) ![]() ![]()

Every time I read through this thread it makes me change whatever idea I have for an engine back to a VQ35.
Nice job on the win!

Thanks guys! I had a great weekend and am still very happy with the Vq's performance. I will one day do a couple more bolt ons, but I don't want to do any major tuning on it, it's reliable, does good with mpg's (would be better with longer rear gear) and sounds awesome the way it is. Am thinking of trying to get a HR one of these days.
Ah best idea is to go on poweredbymax.net and search under cooling products to better understand the swirl tank, it's good at what it does though. haha yeah they came out a lot easier then going in! Thanks for your guys help! So here's a picture break down of Sunday, it's going to be kinda long but hell it's a win so I'd like to spread the joy lol Started off the day swapping tires, (Went through first pair 2 practice sessions, qualify, top 32/16, swapped to second pair for top8 to final) My buddy Joe's S14 next to mine ![]() Had some issues on the rear setup, had to re align it after the first practice and the car did much much better. Here's a couple from the qualify and first few rounds ![]() ![]() ![]() Then we got to the first tandems of the season, was a bit rusty so held back a bit, he was also having fuel pickup issues and popping quite a bit haha ![]() ![]() ![]() Next was a round of single runs, and after that was back to tandems! I went up against a fox body mustang, pretty consistent driver but new at tandem. So again held back a touch on the first run, went one more time, had to step it up. Got a lead on the first run and then kept it tight on the second. ![]() ![]() I started making my move here, haven't seen a pic of it yet but right at the clip I got on his door haha ![]() After that round went into the Finals! Other car didn't have a cage so had to do something special on the single runs. Finally got the car up on the top of the bank and pulled off a solid run. Later one of the judges said this run was the best run of the day =D ![]() And that's that, took home the victory and points lead going into the second round in June! Gotta save up some money again so I can afford more tires! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

we think we have the fuel issues figured out on garys car so next event it should be a better battle for you two. you did a damn good job at tandeming.

Haha yeah man, total Ricky Bobby status! Yeah haha wish I could run it lower, but theres plans for this winter to do a rebuild and tubbage for that reason too. Hopefully I can save up enough dough to do it and replace everything with PBM arms/bars. I like my coils though.
That's great! Can't wait to see Gary's car running right haha. Gotta rep the onevia's. Thanks man, I'm definitely feeling more comfortable in the tandems as we run more already. I'm still pretty happy about winning but I do know that there's harder competition coming in the near future, so in my efforts to better my driving I'm testing things with the open drift days. I've got enough rubber left to have a few runs I think lol. What I'm going to try is something of a big crazy topic on here under the roll center thread. My friend Joe (white s14 in pics) Tried this at the event and liked it, gave him more front grip and the car is quicker to respond. The camber plates are actually set to full positive camber, then flipped around so it goes forward and in. I have almost the same negative camber but when I crank the wheels, they stay a lot flatter. Here's a before pic, notice the right front is barely using not even half of the inner tread, ![]() Here's after, (different direction but same following tire idea) ![]() Lead tire ![]() Camber plates ![]() So far the response of the front is noticeably better, it's noticeable through the steering wheel, not really heavier for say but more feedback I think is the right term. May 15th is the next open drift and i'll be escorting some of the local community college Japanese club students on ride alongs so perfect time to try new stuff haha. I already liked how the car handled but it's worth a try. If anything it's really easy to change so I'll just put it back if I don't like it. For now I'm going to daily it and see.
