Haha your car is just like mine. Base model M/T. Except mine was produced in 09/88 and yours in 03/89.

@twisted_240, as I'm sure you know, this is the Two-Tone PRESERVATION Society. Not the Two-Tone DRIFT MISSILE Society. Now kindly leave.

Here is what a preserved two-tone looks like:

i dont quite understand ??
i also do not know what a missle is, thats something that blows up though.

its getting fresh paints, staying two tone.
i think it should simply be a two tone APPRECIATION thread, and not discriminate if it didnt roll off the assembly line almost 30yrs ago.

My suggestion: Fix your body/paint before shredding another set of tires on the track. Here is a fine example of a PRESERVED two-tone that drifts...

Now run along, you have A LOT of work ahead of you. But most likely you will run the car into the wall before it even makes it to paint.

^^^ lol calm down buddy he did say he was about to start body work. We don't have to give him SUCH a hard time. At least it's an original two tone and not someone posting a fake.

It pains me to see any two tone being drifted, because its only a matter of time. It's never an "if" it hits the wall, it's "when". The question is how bad will it be.

ive hit walls, curbs, been in ditches, put it in the dirt...its a car.
i also dont see how having it painted for every event makes any sense, the possibility of rubbing paint with friends, or doing wall drags is part of the fun, why waste time and money to make the car all glossy and cute when every event more paint gets rubbed off on other things?
i wont ship the wheels and i have no idea what theyd even be worth to be honest. if i dont get what i want for them id just use them as burners/until i destroy them.
now this is not to say i go out and try to destroy my car, and i havent wall tapped in a while (sadly?) its just the nature of the beast.

As all of what you're saying is true. Having an original two tone is rare and this thread specifically is for the preservation of the two tone coupe.

It's great that you actually drive it but this thread is about valuing the car and have it look like a missile with pulled lasagna fenders and what not. Had you been driving a regular coupe, nobody would give you crap. They'd tell you "good driving" and that's it. But like I said this is a preservation thread.

PS: you can keep on posting your car in this thread (as it does fit the two tone requisite) but expect the purists and two tone enthusiasts to be on you.

This. By the time mine is done it will be worth enough that I'll just trade up to a beat Ferrari or something.

hobbs has been butthurt for awhile, not sure whats going on with him, this is like the 3rd time I've seen him make a sly remark towards me. hobbs if you want to talk about it feel free to PM me.

SupaPoopaScoopa, I troll no one. You seem to have a track record of making bad decisions, I mean take a look at your build thread. You roll your car unsafely down the street with some fucking dollies and yet a few posts later you talk about how you have "free towing".

Anyways, time to satisfy my huge ego and post another picture of my car!

I'm not butthurt, just think you come off as an egotistical asshat online, I'm sure we would get along fine in person.

I pulled it three houses. Towing has a minimum of one mile. Why would I call towing for that? Not to mention, with lack of front suspension, they would destroy the car lifting it onto a flat bed. And track record of bad decisions? Are you my father? Seems like you have quite the audience that doesn't like you at all.
