J30 VLSD shot. Replacement options?

My S14 has a '96 J30 VLSD that is worn out and behaves like an open diff. I've done a lot of research and would just like someone to verify what I have learned B4 I spend money on the wrong parts. Please point out any misconceptions stated below:
1.) The J30 VLSD cannot be overhauled because it is a sealed unit. Changing the gear oil won't help much. A new OE replacement case costs $770.
2.) I can swap in a NA Z32 VSLD pumkin if I swap the 6-bolt output shafts from the J30 VLSD to the NA Z32 VLSD. The J30 and NA Z32 VLSDs are identical except for the flanges on the output shafts. All Z32s came W/ VLSD. (This is probably the option I will choose, since there is a Z graveyard right around the corner.)
3.) I can use a clutch type LSD (Nismo or Kaaz) if I get the kit for 240SX W/ OE VLSD.
4) I can install an S15 HLSD into my pumkin if I get the S15 output shafts.
5.) OBX LSDs are crap. Don't bother.
