There are basically a few things that most people agree to when it comes to this topic.

1. BOTH the SR and KA-T have alot of potential
2. What mileage do you have on your KA and Tranny...if it is very high then a SR may be the way for you to go
3. How accesable is a SR for YOU.  For some of us it's a phone call or a shop around the corner, for others it's a pain in the butt.
4.What is your budget?  A good KA-T kit will run about $3000 about the same as a SR installed(but again depending on availability)
5. What do you want, or how far are you going to go with that car.  You have to build a KA-T to run higher boost so that means taking apart the motor.  A SR can run a bit more and still be reliable.  It really depends how far you want to goin the long run.

Both are good choices.  Both have good and bad points.  I'm sure more people will input.
