call up importoptions becuase there site seems to have stopped posting the kit..Last time I waited to purchase the complete front kit (brand new) and it ran a total of 800-850!! holy bejesus it was expensive... But I'm trying again now...Anyways, hit up intensemotorsports also...they have the kit. No one seems to have the side skirts though..?
Did you know G-grow makes an exact copy of the kouki kit too? But I don't know their price...I bet it is cheaper. Plus their kit is a complete mold of the front bumper without the annoying side pieces that extend to the fenders. Somebody has the kit on here...forgot his name though.

850 doesnt sound that bad. does g-grow kit have the license plate section on the bumper as well? cause finding the right place for my license plate is kinda hard and this kit actually gives you a place to put it without it looking weird.

holy shit, phase2motortrend sells their bumper for a whopping 400 bucks plus the side pieces for 150 and then the lip for 400 not to mention the side skirts for 550. im gonna go broke buyin this kit.

thanks for your help guys.

by the way, anyone ever try using their existing lock and keys instead of the new lock and keys for the kouki tails? is it possible to swap out the locks and replace with my old ones??

our web site is down for updating now...

I have all the brand new Type-X bumper parts...

Urethane front bumper, all the lights, etc etc...

PM me what you need with shipping address...

$825 is like my list price without the front lip...

I can sell the full kit (bumper, bumper lamps, turn signal, side brackets) for around $695 shipped.

Add the front lip for an extra $325

Oh the G grow is fiberglass huh... Man 695 for the front bumper kit huh jason...thats a nice price... That add on lip is sooo expensive too!

The old key lock on the usdm cars won't work, from what I can remember, the mounting tabs are positioned on different ends..or something like that...It was annoying converting it...Didn't keep track of the postion of the rod inside the latch and took forever to figure it out...After the conversion I noticed my key hole is a lot harder to twist to open the hatch. Anyone have the similar problem? haha oh yeah especially on up hills, for some reason the angle of the key hole makes it harder to open the hatch if postioned diagonally.

Who makes the front that ayuaddict posted? Is it fiberglass or polyurathane?
I like that style, it eliminates the ugly front tag location.

Does anybody know who makes this one on Koguchi's car. It's similar to the one posted previous. But the side bumper extensions are separated...like OEM. Any info regarding this front is appreciated.
http://sportcompactcarweb.com/toc/03...odrift05_z.jpg

I love the urathane parts, but it looks like fiberglass is the route I will have to take. How well does the fiberglass hold up? Also how's the fitment with the fiberglass pieces?

Aeromaster I believe.

It almost looks like that is a knock-off OEM bumper with a lip (oem or not) and side pieces attached. It looks like there's a seam between the lip and the bumper like on my OEM kouki aero.

He also has that fiberglass MKIII (?) Supra insert piece that is either copied and molded that way or actually just cut out and glued on.

Ninja edit: That insert is called the Supra Group A scoop. I think it's really nice. We don't have front tags in GA so I'm debating putting that on my bumper.
Quote:

Not good. Not good.

Seriously, fiberglass will always get raped when you hit anything with any force at all. It will either crack or totally explode and chunk based on how good the actual material is. Fiberglass pieces in general don't fit well, especially compared to urethane. Unfortunately that is the nature of making a huge semi-rigid piece out of fiberglass that has no support. Some original pieces fit really well, but most are copies of copies of copies and require a lot of heating/bending, extra fiberglass/bondo work, and new holes or just zipties. I got the urethane bumper because I didn't want to deal with the headaches. It will pay for itself if I hit a cone or a barrel in the road or...someone else.

Ask Lindsay about how the price of fiberglass kits ends up adding up in the end.

Yeah I noticed the seam between the bumper and the lip. Also if you look close you can see the indentation for the nissan emblem on the top of the bumper.

Thanks for the info on the supra scoop. You have the kouki bumper so you could probably tell me, do you think that the supra scoop will completely eliminate any trace of the front tag? How big is the space alloted for the tag on the OEM kouki bumper....could you measure it for me....pleeeeeease.

Here's what a quick search found on the scoop:http://www.jspec.com/groupscoop.html

Again, thank you for your help so far...

www.takakaira.com sells g-grow, no license plate mounting location though.
Uras also makes a replica, raretrick has it listed on their site.

See, that's what I thought too, but after looking at my bumper I didn't think the A Group vent would cover it. I'm sure I'm wrong because you know all about kits, but it just didn't look like it to me.

I don't think it would, but maybe the scoop is much bigger than I think it is. Honestly, I'd trust Aaron on it though. If he says it'll cover, it'll probably cover. I would measure it but it's about 100 miles away being painted. Sorry, bro.

Our bumper is the FACTORY JDM Part...

You are looking at $240 + Shipping for the bumper alone...

Like I said before...

I can sell the full kit (bumper, bumper lamps, turn signal, side brackets) for around $695 shipped.

Add the front lip for an extra $325

Shipping on the bumpers alone is around $120... so if you did the math...

is that a knockoff?? it looks really different from the oem type x bumper. kinda like it has the lip built into the bumper itself and the side pieces arent there. im not really digging the look mainly cause of the license plate molding not being there.

thanks though

and btw jason, do you sell the skirts as well? if so, how much?

Yeah the kit alone without the lip is that 700 bucks excluding shipping if i was to pick up right? Man is the lip that expensive, I swear I saw it for like 150 bucks on a retail site....But shipping and tax would bump it close to 300 mark.
Also, I went with the oem kouki because it is urethane.Fiberglass is horrible especially if you daily drive.
Hey scottman do you have a picture of your car on the forum?

you gotta import it. no one carries it. its a very expensive bumper. like 350 retail japan price. before shiping imorter and stuff
dorifto slut use to have one.
then he blew it up at the track, i got pics of his old car. this was like..shit 3.5 yearsa ago? hahahahahahaha

talk about being ahead of the trends.
Hot Road 180sx bumper, and side skirts. OEM 180sx rear valence (all 3 pieces)
importer thru some no dead company way back when back east and the rear valecne was from Jspec.com!! Sam hoooks it up! since back in the day!

ride height is high because had to be shipped from hawaii to california, cant be ttoo low, and even that high they cracked the bumper.

and after buttonwillow
hahaha

IMHO... after wasting tons of $ on Fiberglass body kits, the extra money to prep and get them to fit perfectly,, and things in the road to tap and destroy the bumper... I would NOT go with fiberglass... Go with Urethane when you can!

eurethane cracks to
and w/ driveways you just rub holes in it

i did that w/ my DRFT bumper
rubbed holes thru it

good times.
best is OE its the toughest
but also the priciest.
