What Do I Need For A Oil Pressure Guage

I have the typical oil leaking from the oil pressure switch so i'm going to add a oil pressure guage and replace the oil sensor. I hear you need a special fitting 1/8 BSPT to 1/8 NTP.... and i have no idea what that means or what i need to get. Any help would be greatly apprciated.

bspt means british standard pipe tapered and npt means national pipe thread, if my memory serves me correctly

about the pressure gauge, im guessing you would need to T it off your oil pressure sensor

what engine? what kind of guage?(sending unit or fluid) usually this works

If you can see, the fitting is 1/8 which means you can probably use a 2nd sending unit.(1/8)

Don't T off anything. Remove and discard the OE pressure switch. A new OE switch will begin to leak in 6months anyway, and with a true gauge in the car you don't need it.
Plus it's nice to be able to see a problem before it occurs, with the OE switch you're mearly getting confirmation that you've already thrown a rod out the block.

I have some good quality adapters for $20 shipped. Made of heavy, cadmium plated steel, with fittings for both 1/8 BSPT AND 1/8 NTP threads. Picture below. Thanks, Mike Browning www.hiprollc.com
