Help ASAP with Factory Alarm

So I have a '92 240SX. Has factory alarm installed, and I normally leave it on with the impact detection off, so that it just beeps when I open the door, and turns off when I turn on the ignition.

Well, I came out from McDonalds today and got in my car, and when I turned on the ignition the beeping didn't stop. A few seconds later my alarm was going off. I turned off the car, turned it back on again. Starts normally, operates normally, just the stupid alarm won't disable! The LED above the alarm switch is solid red and remains that way. Through a certain combination of opening the door and turning the car on and off, I was somehow able to get the alarm to chill out. Drove hom and as soon as I opened the door when I got home, alarm goes off again.

It seems to be stuck in some sort of panic mode, and isn't realizing when the ignition is turned on/off. Anyone know what could cause this? I'm guessing a wire shorted out or became disconnected, but I have no clue where to begin looking. Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, the S13s never came with an OE alarm. The unit you have is the delaer installed job that was offered in Pathfinders and other vehicles as well. It looks OE, but was manafactured through an outside source and available as an add-on at the time of purchase. The control unit should be under the driver seat, unplug it for a second and see what it does. You may end having to pull it since Nissan doesn't service them anymore.
