Need Help Now!

My car is having the wierdest problem. I was just eating and my car was parked. Then I came back to it and it wouldnt start. My girlfriend was sitting in the car and the cd player spit out a cd. Then I walked around the car and it started up only now the clock said that it was 1:07.. and it was around 7:45. Then I drove home and parked it in my garage and tried it again.. it wouldnt start. I took out the cd in it and it still wouldnt start. I have no idea what could be wrong. Please help if you know what it is.

Start simple, check all the electrical connection and make sure they're tight (battery, ignition coil, etc.) I only say this because I almost spent $50 and replaced my MSD coil, only to find out that the nuts holding the wires on the post weren't tight.

Also, be a little more specific... when you turn the key, does it just click or actually acts like it doesn't want to turn over. Could be the difference between an electrical problem and a fuel / air problem.

also clicks when i turn the key sorry. I also know that it has a boost leak but the issues with the clock and cd player make it strange.

problem sounds to me like it's your battery or battery cables, especially with the clock resetting. Check your cables and check your ground. If the connects are tight, try taking a wore brush to the connections and cleaning all the oxidation off of them, and then reconnect and try.

Ok thank you. They are pretty oxidized but even when the car just has the key in the ignition the safcII says that my volts are around 11.9. Im also only running a mower battery.

It should still be over 12v's. Clear and tighten your batt connections and check your charging sysyem. With the car running you should get 12v's+/13v's at the batt.

I had a weird problem a while ago. Car would start fine but wouldn't re-start with a warm engine. Turned out to be the CTS plug was a little bit loose. No problems with guages though.
Like already mentioned, check your connections and fuses.

I think I found it. it was a bad connection to the battery. I cleaned off the terminals and noticed that a grounding to the battery looked chewed up. I think thats it cause i moved the battery.. and then it worked. and right after i cleaned the connections it worked. but while i was driving on the causeway i hit some bumps and my gauges went crazy so i think thats the problem.

After you get the post and grounds cleaned and tight, make sure your alt. is charging.

Get a volt meeter, they, you can get a cheap one, they arent that expensive, and any parts store or walmart will have them. You should get 13v+ at the alt, the same at the batt with the car running.
