need help with power door locks on s14
i just put in a 1996 door on my 1995 240sx in order to fix the window problem and to avoid the hassle of taking out the tracks and regulator and install it on the previous door. now the power door locks are not working. is there anyway to modify it or make it work? i have already searched the thread.

Wiring for the door locks is the same, however it's possible that the new door doesn't have the OE security (optional in 96) so you won't have alarm functions. Otherwise the door lock motor is the same, sounds like you just have a bad actuator in the new door.
And swapping a door to avoid swapping the internals is twice as much work. You could have done all the internals parts in 10 minutes and not needed to mess with realigning the door. |

I can gut an entire door is less than five minutes, that's including wiring harness, latch, belt moulding, and glass. Shouldn't take anyone else more than fifteen the first time. |
