Stance coilover owners help me please...

I ordered a set of Stance coilovers from MSL last week, and I'll get them sometime this week I guess. My question is... My rim and tire setup barely clears stock strut which currently I have. It's 17x8 +38 with 235/40 17 Falken RT-615. I would say I have about 5~7mm between tire and strut now. I was wondering if I need 5mm or 10mm spacers to clear Stance coilovers on the front. Or even use 215/45 tires. I know I have a plenty of space on the back though. I appreciate if you can tell me something based on your experience. Thanks!!!

the coilovers are slim like the rear ones. no giant springs like OEM fronts are. you will clear with ease!

You have S14, right? S14 has much better clearance than S13.

But front spring is on spring perch which goes above the tire, so it doesn't matter how big the spring is. You know what I mean?

yeah i understand. you can run a 20mm spacer if you do end up having problems.

I've got Stance. You might just be able to sqeeeeek it in there but it will be tight. I have 225/40/18 on the front at +30. I can stick a finger between the tire and coilover. 225/35/18 +33 on the rear with pleanty of room to spare.

I think you'll be okay. If you wind up needing spacers you deffinately wont need anything more than 5mm.

Installed Stance coilovers yesterday and I was able to stick my thumb in the front. I have 17x8 +38 with 235/40 17 RT-615. HHMMM.... mine is vert and is it different from other S13s or what???? I'm confused. It's good to have a nice clearance BTW.

Stance seemto have great clearance. I have 17x9+17 with 245/40 and it clears by a lot inside. I probably could have gotten the wheels in +27 and avoided some fender rubbing issues, but from my research it seemed like anything over a +20 in a 9" wide wheel wouldn't clear. Oh well, new owners can find this info at least.

Cool, how do you like them so far? Did you get the new model version with the helper springs?

I'm loving mine for the most part....my only complaint is a knocking noise in the rear.....It sounds like noisy pillowball mounts, either that or they're just banging on my strut towers....I'm still trying to troubleshoot the noise.
