ive searched this topic many times before.. but nobody compared the 2 i wanted.. i heard stance are good but nobody really compared stance and silkroad.. is always stance and buddyclub or some other shit.. trust me ive searched many many times before.. if anybody knows a link with the comparison of the 2.. than post..

from personal experience, Silkroad's have piss poor customer service. i've inquired several times about getting z32 mountings for my rear shocks, and their main US distributor in Kent, WA can't even give me a solid answer if it's available or not. i can't believe not one s13 silkroad ower has inquired about swaping to z32 aluminum uprights before. not to mention the time i needed to replace my front coilovers...they wanted 700 per corner. oh, and let's not get started on their non-existent rebuilding services b/c as they quote, "these coilovers are so durable, we've never ever had to send one in for rebuild yet...." Sure guy, Silkroad customer service can...suck it.

Silk Road customer service does suck, even when I saw them in person at JGTC event they had no answers... Aside from that the coilovers are great. STANCE on the other hand has a no down-time rebuild policy, revalving is available if need be, and replacement parts are readily in stock.

whats new about the new silkroads? the ones with the end tanks (resivors) or somethin else? isnt that the exact same stuff that ksport circuits and what stance also has coming out as well?

thanks for all the input guys .. if both coilovers are about the same..than y are the silkroads more expensive ?? better materials used ?? how is the new silkroad design with the reservoir better than the 1ns without the reservoir? thanks ..

They both are not that similar, they have will have some slightly different feels in overall damping characteristics. Each offer some slightly different features.

That was a while ago but it should give you a general idea.

You are going to love both coilovers it just boils down to what else you get, I would honestly get STANCE over Silk Road just for the fact of having it be under warranty and it will only take you about 4 days to get a replacement shock if it is broken, and you can replace any part from the collars, to the brackets to the, springs if something goes wrong.

When my Silk Roads were going bad I got no responses from anyone.

In terms of the ones with external reservoirs, they aren't for the entry level person. First they are about $2K, secondly you don't need an external reservoir just to have one, but its for a wider range of adjustability. I haven't heard much about the new Silk Roads but from the looks of it they are 2 way adjustable.

STANCE is also coming out with a shock with external reservoirs, it will be slightly cheaper than $2k, but will be 3 way adjustable. With the two adjustments on the reservoir being High Speed and low speed compression.

But if you are just comparing STANCE and Silk Road that means your budget is in the 1000-1500 range. So those external reservoirs are going to be over your budget.

the customer support not only inquiry wise but also PARTS wise is incredible
i have stance now, way better then my old HEs
much nier then the JIC FLTa2 i ran for a bit
and i can get parts unlike i was able to with mey Tanabe DD
