Thread size of coolant burp hole bolt
I'm thinking of using the coolant burp hole for my water temp gauge, but instead of tapping it, I was going to just get an adapter.
Does anyone know the thread/size of the coolant burp hole? I know the sender for the gauge is 1/8 NPT. Thanks. |

Personally, I'd tap it. It looks kinda silly to have both the adapter and sender stacked on top of each other right in the front of the engine. But that's just me.

Okay, I don't recommend doing what you're contemplating doing for various reasons, namely because you need it for bleeding the cooling system. Plus the adapter may not clear your hood.
I recommend you install it on the upper radiator hose. If you mess up your radiator hose, you can always throw it away and buy a new hose. Your water outlet is much harder to come by. |
