TPS sensor install (i searched)
I'm wondering if anyone knows the answer to this. I am changing out my TPS but due to removal, the FSM recommends you realign the new TPS to the .05v +/- .02v position so that the sensor will operate properly. The step I'm having trouble with is the warming up the car part.
I don't see how this is possible since you have to have the intake system completely removed to get to it and there's absolutely no room to tighten down the TPS bolts once you eventually DO get it in the right position with all that crap in the way. So I'm wondering if I you can adjust the TPS position with the throttle body in hand, rather than on the car. I've tried it once already with it on the car and I just can't reach the bolts to tighten it down. The voltage readings SHOULD be the same with the throttle body on or off the car correct? much thanks.
