long story short, drilled a small hole into the gas tank when relocating battery to the trunk. I know there is a hole because my tank does not depresurize when i remove gas tank cap and my cabin smells like gas at times. Maybe I can just shove a bolt into the hole or use some of that quick tire patch rubber and shove it down the hole. I also have a s13 fastback parts car but dont know if the gas tank in the fastback and my coupe (the one with the hole) are interchangable. Lost my chiltons and cant the FSM's from that one site online has been down for a while. Help me out!

remove the Fuel Pump.

Remove bracket holding gas tank mouth.

Remove 2 metal belts holding tank to chassis.

FSM is your friend.

yeah to patch it you can just take a screw that fits tight in the hole and pack some silicone around it. seen it done before, works quite well.
