Anyone running Summit universal rad on KA24 setup?

I'm thinking of picking up a universal Summit aluminum radiator or another cheap domestic made racing rad, like this:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I have a turbo KA with the radiator moved back toward the engine and the IC where the stock radiator mounts. I use Altima fans so space is at a premium, and the Summit radiators seem to be a good size, 2.25" thick vs. the very common 3" of many racing radiators. The only issue is they don't offer one with both inlet and outlet on the passenger side. Has anybody used one of these or something similar on a KA? Most of what I found was from SR people, and I'd rather not have to run a crossover pipe if possible. And Koyo is a ripoff.

Ehh, nobody's done this? There was quite a bit of talk about using these radiators in an older thread, but I think most of the posters were running an SR and a conventional FMIC setup. I never realized that the KA rad inlet/outlet setup is so unconventional, Nissan screwed us over a bit with that.

I did some measuring and eyeballing today. I think about a 19"x27" core would be the max that would fit in the bay. There aren't really any good cheap rads that have the inlet and outlet in the right spot. I think I'm going to go Ford style (inlet on passenger side, outlet on driver side) since I have more room down below for a crossover pipe.

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I'll also need adapters since the inlet/outlet are bigger than stock, but that's not a big deal, summit has them for cheap.

a+ to turtl for bringing this up. A nice cheap alternative to a koyo.

Anyways I checked my pricing on these. Summit is selling these at $10 above cost.

Here's the one I'll run:

SUM-380425 $169.

Brand: Summit
Product Line: Summit Aluminum Racing Radiators
Radiator Style: Crossflow
Overall Width (in): 25.750 in.
Overall Height (in): 19.000 in.
Overall Thickness (in): 2.250 in.
Row Quantity: Dual-row
Radiator Finish: Natural
Radiator Material: Aluminum
Transmission Cooler: No
Inlet Location: Upper passenger side
Inlet Size: 1 1/2 in.
Outlet Location: Lower driver side
Outlet Size: 1 3/4 in.
Tube Size: 1 in.
Fan Included: No
Quantity: Sold individually.
Notes: Radiator does not have a drain petcock or include a radiator cap.

Plus they're nice sturdy crossflow rads, not a junky koyo downflow with a brittle filler neck.

And you can pick it up at their new store down South. in fact, you might could even drive down and do a test fit if they have anything that's open box.

As an aside, the NASCAR C&R surplus radiators on ebay have both inlets on the passenger side, I need to measure my spare car when I get home.

It's not in a 240, but I have used a Griffin radiator. The only thing to look out for is that they come with no brackets on them, and Summit's universal bracket kit is not quite as universal as I'd like it to be. I ended up cutting some pieces off an aluminum extrusion from Ace Hardware and having them welded to the side tanks to give the radiator a set of mounting ears.
