Yo,
I have a 92 S13 bone stock and I'm thinking of lowering her soon. The car's previous owner was crazy for OEM and had the car's shock replaced at 96K kms (about 50K miles) at Nissan. The car now is at 100K kms, so they're brand new basically. If I go for the Whiteline springs from PDM can I just leave the shocks alone for now without ruining the handling?? After another 30K miles I'll likely swap out the shocks for KYBs. Also, how bad is the negative camber afterwards? Will a 1.3" drop affect the camber? Will I need crrective bushings or will the car's stock camber adjustments accomodate the new springs? Thanks JZ |

I never even saw this topic. It must have gotten knocked off the main page pretty quick. I don't think you will need any sort of camber correction with just a 1.3" drop but I'm not sure. Also, lowering springs will work with stock shocks but will wear them out a lot faster. Everybody says to do them both at the same time, so it might be worth it to just drive on stock suspension for another 30k miles and do it all at once.

ummmm....I don't think I quite understood what was just said there. Was lowering your car 1.8" okay then with the the stock shocks/struts??

It's generally not a good idea to run lowering springs with stock shocks/struts. You'll end up blowing them and having a shitty ride. It'll also save you money on labor if you put both in at the same time.

whitelines are not bad springs . Of course I don't know a lot of people running them. As far sticking them on stock shocks it will be okay for awhile but it will hammer them eventully.
