common electrical shorts

I am having troubles finding a short in my running lights/tail lights circuit.  I have traced everything... the thing is, it only happens when it rains.  I have tried to figure out where ever water could get into the vehicle, but no luck so far.  Can anyone list any common places where they have found shorts so far so I can check the same on my car.

So far this is what I have found not related to my current problem.

-Hatch had clamped and cut five wires that lead into the hatch.  Caused rear wiper, high mounted stop lights to malfunction.

-Right front combination light.  Turn single wire has started degrading.  Caused right turn signal to stop working.
