I'm pulling apart my dash to install gauges and I looked at my ECU for the first time. It says "Nissan Genuine Remanufactured Electronic Control Unit" and "Unisia Jecs Corporation...Made in Japan." Does anyone else have an ECU that says this or know why it would be remanufactured? I bought the car used from a Nissan Dealership. Thanks.

i just looked, mine has no hint of being reman either
just a thought, my car has obd1 - i dunno about dsc's car, but a 97 definitely has obdII, could that be the reason?
