Too many different factors in play. Bottoming out, rebound, stiffness, etc. all play a huge factor.

Well I'm going to buy springs I was wondering if a 1.8" drop would be either too low or not low enough

My shit is less than an inch off the ground in some places under the chassis. I cannot go over MOST speed bumps without severely scraping, even going completely sideways over it at like 2 mph. Basically if you truly SLAM your car, daily driving becomes a hassle and you often have to take different routes to places because your car cannot make certain slopes/bumps.

If you dont have a daily driver, be smart and don't slam it superlow unless your willing to accept not being able to go into certain places without scraping badly/ risking getting stuck.

Springs...with a 1.8" drop and a body kit...wow that's asking for trouble. Go with something stiffer and you'll have somewhat less problems.

lol at this thread.....why not get coils so that you can raise and lower your car whenever you choose?

also every road is different so theres no universal low but not to low setting...use your head and figure it out

1-1.5 inches still looks like shit 4X4 high with 17's and a kit. Get at least cheap 1.8 inch drop springs that sag to 2"+ over time. Like Megan racing springs.

But still stop being broke and figure out how to spend less and earn more god damn.
I'm on a budget too but I spend smart. Like I wouldn't blow money on fucking AERO and sportmaxes before coilovers shit.

If you have enough money for an INGS kit and Sportmaxes you can afford to spend money on decent suspension.

if youre on a super low budget, you picked the wrong hobby to get into. save yourself the headache and just $AVE $SAVE $SAVE money to buy the right shit the first time around.

just get some coilovers so you can adjust height whenever you want.

but who am i to say...its your money. do what your heart desires

+1

you get what you pay for. if you want to go cheap, you'll have to buy springs. but then you are sick of the feel and end up getting springs (tokico illuminas or something along those lines). with that money, you could have bought a cheap set of coilovers. and plus, you can adjust your ride height to your liking. if you have a crazy car, but can't drive it around because of shotty suspension, what's the point?

san diego roads...

my car is 2-3" off of the ground from the frame rails on stock wheels (205/60/15) and no body kit. i scrape in a lot of places, mostly at the downpipe and the n1 exhaust can. occasionally, i scrape the front bumper (no lip) if i don't angle right. have fun.

Buy springs, cut 4 coils off them, and drive.

You'll be so low in the ground you'll be downstream with the ducks.

Max power coilovers are like $1k. Not that expensive (You do live in San Diego).

...You can even buy megans, since you're on a "super budget".

Lowering springs=FAIL!!!!!! You could atleast buy some shitty brand coilover and maybe that will give you the options of how low you want you're ride to be. Tire size, Type of Aero also plays a big factor in the over all stance of the car.

Hahaha.

But you forgot... The INGS kit is a knock off. And the sportmax rims are... well, crap.

This fool is straight building a fucking janky ass piece of shit.

He only cares about looks and can't even pull that off right.

I bet the car doesn't even have real paint.

This thread is a laugh.

ksport springs?

As if the coils weren't crappy enough.

You went and bought something that's even worse. You might as well cut your springs.

Just think.

If you didn't buy all that useless shit you could've bought stance.

I'd much rather have a car with real coilovers and good tires than the car you are building.

Yes this is YOUR car. But OTHER people have to look at it.

All you're doing is continuing to portray 240 owners as broke ass ninja's.

Good fucking job.

To answer your thread question.

1.8 lower will not help your cars looks.

/truth.
