I got my remote starter like a month ago, first, it works, then, when it got colder, it cranks but doesn't start sometimes. So I thought it was the battery, so I got a new one, and it got even worse, (but the weather has been about the same) then I thought it was spark plugs, but I realized that when I use the key to start it, there is never a problem. Right now, the remote starter only works when the car is warm, which is completely pointless. I have work tomorrow, so I will talk to the mechanic who installed it, but he's probably gonna be a dick about it. I tried reseting the starter, and it doesn't work. It's just really weird. Anybody knows why?

Do you tap the gas when you start you car with the key? If so the remote starter can not do this to my knowledge. This is most likely you problem and the problem with most remote starters. The engine needs a bit more air and gas on cold starts. I hope this helps and keep me posted.

if it is a 240 then the 2nd starter wire not getting power when the starter being crank. the best way to test to see if this is the problem, press the start button then as soon as the starter start cranking you turn the key on and start with the key at the same time, if the car start then that is the problem. then just open the dash and hook up the black yellow and the black green together this should work.
