Help Diagnose my Problem....
Well well well.... of fucking course more issues with the SR... so after getting a new battery, I hook it up and crank the car over... after about half a crank I get the seized, THUD from the motor. I'm like, fuck... so I pull the coilpacks and plugs, crank her over again and make another gasoline fountain, only this time it wasn't just out of the number 2 cylinder, it was out of ALL FOUR... so I'm like shit, so I unhook the injectors, crank that bitch over again and same thing, gasoline fountain, I think to myself, it'll dry up in a minute, but not, it just kept flowing... Then I got to thinking, that's a lot of fucking gas, which it was. I'm at a loss as to what would cause my cylinders to fill with gas so quick as to not let the engine crank over.... HELP

never got to spark... I mean it's not even getting a whole crank over before the cylinder is seized full of gas... how much gasoline are the injectors supposed to put out normally... I'm not kidding when I say I had a fountain of gas in my garage.

help me anyone who has ANY idea, can the injectors really put out enough fuel that quickly to seize the motor without spark in half a second????

Injectors are F'd, or the o rings, but you a dumping fuel w/o an injector pulse.
As well, if it cranked then STOPPED. Congrats. You have hydroloc'd the motor. Get all the gas out, do a compression test, more than likely you bent the valves on that one.

it just compressed a bunch of liquid towards open valves and seized, it doesn't sound good.
But, check the COMPRESSION FIRST.

alright, would the ground and power wires being hooked up backwards on the injectors cause this problem????? I just want to get it running so I can get rid of it. This car is making me hate nissans.

talked to a local mechanic this morning who has a little experience with our common rail side feed injector setups and he seems to think the injectors are seized and may be freed up with a little pecking, so I'm gonna try it and see. After I get the injectors figured out I'll do a compression test.

but not at the rate that it would stop rotation of the crank. John is correct, it sounds to me like the injectors are flowing as a constant open.

i had a similar problem and it turned out to be the spark. so i changed the cas, spark plugs, and reset the timing with the cas. but still way to much fuel. then it turned out to be a bad ground that was making the car spark weak. so i changed the engine ground cable to a thicker one and the car runs like a dime
btw good luck man

that will cause excessive fuel, but once again, it should not cause enough to stop your engine from cranking due to large amounts of fluids in the cylinders... since the engine would pump most of the vapors out, but if there is so much fuel in your cylinders that the pistons cant even pump it out, you have a major malfunction of the injectors.

and your a premie too...sigh
1. take out the coil packs 2. take off the fuel rail 3. take out the spark plugs 4. take a hanger and tape a small peice of cloth to it. 5. TIGHTLY, and then dip it into each cylinder 6. if its not soaked in gas then your not hydrolocked 7. make sure you do what I just said after it thuds.

well it's not hydrolocked now, I know that. I also know that it was, but I cut the fuel and blew all the gas out, now I just have to see if any damage was caused (I.E. bent valves, etc) before I go and start diagnosing WHY it happened in the first place.

hmmm.....what about the FPR? could it not be properly regulating, and allowing too much fuel to flow?

you WILL NOT bend the valves from a hydrolock. Worst case is bent rods. But since the motor didnt spin very quickly i doubt that happend. Just remove the rail and turn the key to on. There should be no fuel coming out anywhere

this is getting done tonight after the compression test assuming compression is fine so I can see what injector/injectors are feeding fuel... if it's all of them I'm testing the ECU first and take it from there. Thanks a ton.
