KA24DET Build Questions.

Hiya i am new to the forums and have read quite a bit of the threads here and just got a few questions for the 240sx pro's here being as i am a newbie to 240's but not to cars in general. So if ya can answer my questions please do so.

1. I have pulled my KA24DE motor out and am rebuilding it with forged internals and such and am planning to turbo it but am a bit short on funds is this turbo kit decent for the price?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/89-94...QQcmdZViewItem

2. Has anyone made there own gauge cluster and possibly used the autometer gauges for Speedo and such? Example

http://www2.partstrain.com/v5/produc...91+speedometer

3. Is Enthalpy a good place to use for ECU tuning and such? And can someone pitch me a round about price and what information they will require when paying for it.

4. I will be gutting out the car for weight reduction for drifting. And to keep the inside from rusting or anything i have thought about using Rhino Liner to coat the inside. But i don't know how much weight that will add. Has anyone heard of someone doing this?

That is all i can think of for now. Thanks for your time.

Personally I wouldn't touch an Ebay turbo kit to save my life, but if that's all you afford at least get the manifold re-welded and check the seals on the turbo.

I don't remember which company it was but some Ebay brand turbo was held together with RTV. So just watch what you buy.

do not buy an ebay turbo kit. do not buy anything off of ebay that has moving parts. i'm using an xspower manifold and i like it, but it'll prob eventually break.

there was someone who did make their own gague cluster on here and was a pretty recent thread, it was very nice and clean, and i can't remember who it was.

when gutting your car out, it is common to remove the sound deadening material inside your cabin, commonly removed with either heat or dry ice, everyone has their preference.

i've heard mixed reports on enthalpy, there is also JWT (jim wolf) and some place in austrlia that does rom tuning.

if you check out www.ka-t.org ther is a wealth of knowledge on ka-t.
don't build an engine yet use ebay parts. that makes no sense. there is a company called ams that makes nice turbo kits.
I also heard mixed reviews with enthalpy. you have the options of using bikirom, megasquirt, nistune, as well as may other engine managements.
