Alot of people don't do it because of the hassle.
$300-$600 for the 5lug hubs. $50-$200 for new brake rotors, and maybe pads. Then you have to buy a set of 5lug wheels so you can even drive the thing, and that costs anywhere from $50 (used 5lug SE wheels tend to go for cheap) to 1200+ (Major names, Works, Volks, Enkei, Gram Light). It all adds up, and for most it's more then what they're willing to pay. Others do it because it looks great, and it opens up alot more wheel choices and sizes then 4lugs have to offer. FWIW, I'm running Ichiba rear and S5 front 5lugs. They've held up fine over all the track days and touge runs I've driven. This topic has been covered alot. Next time just use the power of SEARCH. You'll be AMAZED at all the answers you'll find. |
