I have a question....
So my mom and i are considering buying my dad a new camera. I've read really good things about the Nikon d40x. Anybody that has experience with this camera, please lmk!

Buy it.
Even the kit-lenses are decent. and it has cute LCD interface, so you can figure out what F/Stop and Shutter speed are. buuuuuuuuuut, I'd go Canon. ..that's just me.

Whats your budget? Sony has a fairly respectable lineup this year with the DSCH3 being the best bang for buck and the DSCT200 being extremely flashy (touch screen) yet not so crappy camera. I've heard good things about the d40x tho, fairly easy to use and decent quality for the price.
Really depends if he's going for professional quality images, or everyday cool gadget cameras. |
