Any fellow Grippers using Toyo Proxes R888's?
![]() ![]() Marketing Product/Sizes R-Compound D.O.T. Approved Competition Tire A unique semi-slick shoulder area, continuous center contact, and enhanced R compound combined with the V-shaped tread design make the R888 ideal for road racing, track days, and high-performance driving schools. In competition, the improvements in casing and tread design increase dry performance, while maintaining wet traction and control. The R888 provides consistent performance throughout the life of the tread. My first set of R-Compounds. Gonna be kicking off the new season right! ![]() Contacted Toyo about their infamous RA1, but their sizes in 18 are limited. They suggested/offered the R888. Their new up-n-coming and rummored replacment of the RA1. The only thinng i know about the R888 is that they run about +10mm from whats listed. Ill be running 235/40 front (8.5"wheel) and 255/35 (9.5" wheel) - which i guess is closer to 245 & 265 ![]() Anyone run them personaly or know anyone who does? All ive got so far from searching is a tremendous amount of marketing info and forums talking about the great selection and availability. |
