I have a 93 240sx runs good but i have a phantom CEL it will come on for 5 minutes at a time or for hours at a time just started happeining recently. I've changed the oil, replaced the thermostat, flushed the radiator. Everything looks and sounds good but it just decides to come on and off as it pleases anybody know what could cause this? any input is appreciated.

Check the code maybe? Gee, that wasn't hard.

The check engine light that is always going on and off for my car is because of the EGR sticking, but I have an American 240SX not a 180SX, So it may be different.

i would check the code but the times that it comes on im usually driving makes it kinda hard to pop the panel off unsrew the computer from its mounts and check the code and usually turns off before i come to my stopping destination so i have a chance to look at it.

It remembers recent codes so you can check whenever.
