Well, I finally got around to opening up and checking out what was inside my bag-o-parts i got from two years ago..

Now,
i've a couple questions.. first are the pics:

#1: are the zif sockets (?) directional?
if you see in the pics, they've an indentation on one side of them..

#2: are 27sf512 chips directional?

#3: what's the smaller black box in the pictures?? I guessed it would just go there since it's the only spot. Also, does this need to be soldered directionally?

#4: what do i do with the three resistors I got in the bag??

#5: any tips?
