Valve Cover Gasket Question
I was wondering what the torque spec for the KA24E valve cover is? Also is there anything I should be aware of when swapping the gaskets?

hand tight is fine. just start from the center, and work your way out in a star pattern, making sure the gasket sits nice and flat.

only apply rtv grey silicone where the head dips down on the front and back of the head. 1/4 inch bead should be fine.

No more leaky gasket. I hand tightened like you guys said in the star pattern and it purrs like a kitten with no oil leak . Awesome!
