Farzam found another excuse to not renew his premie membership

Welp, the big 1-8 is around the corner, and i'm trying to figure out something to get for a DD as i'm selling my beater and trying to upgrade into something more respectable and distinguished, but hopefully equally if not more reliable. I'm pretty excited so please try to not rain on my parade!

If you help me find a car and I actually buy the one you show me, i'll take you out to sushi/lunch/get you a free cup at a kegger or something along those lines.


Wants:
MUST BE RELIABLE. I make a LOT of trips!
Something that looks nice. I don't want a dull car!
Something i'll be happy with mostly stock. If anything it'll get springs, wheels, alarm, and a stereo system.
Around $5,000 out the door. Might throw out an extra couple hundred, maybe an extra thousand if it's worth it.
2 door or 4 door, as long as I can fit people in the back.
Good on gas!
5 speed is fine but if it's an auto I would really like some tiptronic stuff.
RWD and AWD are way cooler than FWD
JP and euro cars are awesome-r to me


Don't want:
Nasty cramped 2 seaters.
Something that WILL have problems.
I don't really want a wagon, SUV, or convertible...but exceptions can be made.
Tan interior. Gray and black are cool, but tan would just make me want to drive into a median.

Audi A4 (can't afford one I bet but hey I might get lucky )

Any advice is greatly appreciated, I don't know jack about euros and i'm looking at a few and I like to hear other people's perspectives on things.

I heard Vdubs are just full of problems and i've seen a lot of beat up 00-ish Jettas but i've seen a lot of clean ones too. Any Vdub nuts on here?
