I was leaving work stopped at a stop sign in a business park. I threw it into first and slowly let go of the clutch and heard a loud ass CLUNK like someone hit me, and i was back in neutral again. i seriously thought someone hit me again. anyone ever experience this? i dont think it's the syncro.

You probably just weren't all the way in gear, so it popped out. If it happens again, you should probably take it to a shop though.
