msd question

whats up everyone, i had a quick question maybe some one could help me. i have a msd box i believe its a dis4 with the 2 step built in. i had it mounted in the motor compartment but moved it to the glove box cause it was getting too hot. the car starts and runs fine its just that the box is making a ticking noise and when i give it gas it seems to tick faster. is this ok? cause i didn't notice the ticking before, maybe because it was so close to the motor.
